meraba arteri radialis, brachialis, carotis, temporalis, femoralis, dorsalis,
dan atau frontalis (pada bayi)

Prosedur 1. Petugas memberitahu pasien tentang tindakan yang akan dilakukan
2. Petugas mencuci tangan sebelum melakukan pemeriksaan
3. Petugas meletakkan 3 jari tengah diatas arteri yang akan diperiksa
4. Petugas sambil melihat jam, mulai menghitung jumlah denyut nadi
selama 15 detik kemudian dikalikan 4 atau menghitung denyut nadi
selama 30 detik kemudian dikalikan 2 (jika nadi tidak teraktur
dihitung selama 1 menit penuh)
5. Petugas mengamati volume (kuat/lemah) denyutan
6. Petugas mengamati irama (teratur atau tidak)
7. Petugas mencatat frekuensi, volume, dan irama dalam kartu status
pasien
8. Petugas mencuci tangan setelah melakukan pemeriksaan

Procedure 1. The healthcare staff informs the patient about the examination

3. The healthcare staff puts 3 middle fingers above the artery to be
examined
4. While looking at the clock, the healthcare staff starts counting the
number of pulses for 15 seconds then multiplied by 4 or counts the
pulse for 30 seconds then multiplied by 2 (if the pulse is irregular,
count for a minute)
 5. The healthcare staff observes the intensity (strong/weak) of the pulse
6. The healthcare staff observe the rhythm (regular or not)
7. The healthcare staff records the frequency, volume, and rhythm in
the patient's records
8. The healthcare staff wash their hands after examination
