1. INTENTION/PURPOSE
Intention/purpose adalah tentang maksud dan tujuan melakukan suatu tindakan.
Kata sambung (conjuntion) yang digunakan:

- So that (sehingga, jadi)
Berikut penjelasan:

“To” (untuk/supaya) biasanya diikuti Verb 1 (kata kerja bentuk pertama) atau be.

“In order to” (supaya/agar) dan “In order not to” (supaya tidak/agar tidak) biasanya setelah frasa ini biasanya diikuti Verb (kata
kerja) atau be untuk nominal sentence.
Contoh kalimat:
1. In order to be happy, we should live simply.
2. We can swim in order to have strong muscles
3. In order to be strong, we can swim regularly.
4. Riko must not smoke in order not to get lung cancer.
5. In order not to get harmful bacteria, we should wash our hands after meals.

“So that” (sehingga) biasanya setelah frasa ini diikuti oleh subjek.
Contoh kalimat:
1. We should study hard so that we can pass the exams.
2. We have to do warm-up before doing exercise so that we don’t get muscle injury.
3. They should not eat too many instant food so that they will not get serious diseases.
4. We must clean our bathtub regularly so that mosquitoes don’t lay eggs there.
Catatan:
Conjunction (kata hubung) to dan in order to diikuti oleh phrase (frasa), sedangkan so that diikuti oleh clause (anak kalimat).

A label is a piece of paper, plastic film, cloth, metal, or other material affixed to a container or product, on which is written or printed
information or symbols about the product or item. Information printed directly on a container or article can also be considered
labeling. Product labels can be made from a variety of materials. Common materials include: paper or cardboard (often attached with
plastic, twine or metal staples), cloth, metal (often aluminum), and plastic.

Pengertian Procedure text
Procedure text merupakan teks yang menjelaskan cara melakukan atau membuat sesuatu melalui serangkaian tindakan atau
langkah. Langkah-langkah tersebut harus dilakukan secara runtut agar hasilnya sesuai dengan yang dikehendaki. Procedure text
dapat berupa cara membuat ataupun manggunakan sesuatu, seperti manual (petunjuk pemakaian alat rekam suara, petunjuk
pemakaian kamera, petunjuk pemasangan mesin cetak), resep masakan, langkah kerjapercobaan/ eksperimen, dan tutorial (cara
mengedit foto dengan suatu program tertentu dan cara membuat kerajinan tangan).
Struktur Procedure text:
o Aim/ goal: mengemukakan atau memperkenalkan sesuatu yang akan dibuat atau dilakukan. Biasanya muncul dalam teks
sebagai judul.
o Ingredients/ materials: memaparkan bahan-bahan atau material yang dibutuhkan. (Bagian ini tidak harus selalu ada dalam
teks procedure).
o Steps/ methods: mencantumkan langkah-langkah dalam membuat atau melakukan sesuatu dengan urut.
Ciri-ciri kebahasaan Procedure text:
Menggunakan simple present tense, sering dalam bentuk kalimat perintah (imperative)
Menggunakan kata penghubung temporal (first, then, next, finally) atau penomoran untuk menunjukkan urutan.
Menggunakan kata kerja tindakan (action verbs).
Contoh Procedure text
How to Make Getuk Goreng
Ingredients:
- 1 kg cassava, peeled and thrown coir center of cassava
- 250 g of palm sugar, sliced soft
- 75 g of rice flour
- 1 tablespoon of wheat flour and salt
- A little of cooking oil
Steps:
1. Cut the cassava into pieces and boil or steam until cooked.
2. Meanwhile, add palm sugar in a little boiling water until dissolved and well blended.
3. Crush the cassava while it is hot, and add palm sugar until they are well blended.
4. Flatten cassava on a tray, make 2 cm thick and cut like a box 4 x 5 cm.
