A. KOMPETENSI DASAR

1.1 Mensyukuri kesempatan dapat mempelajari bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa pengantar
komunikasi internasional yang diwujudkan dalam semangat belajar.
2.1 Menunjukkan perilaku santun dan peduli dalam melaksanakan komunikasi interpersonal
dengan guru dan teman.

3.1 Menerapkan struktur teks dan unsur kebahasaan untuk melaksanakan fungsi sosial dari
ungkapan harapan atau doa dan ucapan selamat atas suatu kebahagiaan dan prestasi,
serta responnya, sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya.
4.1 Menyusun teks lisan dan tulis sederhana untuk mengucapkan dan merespon ungkapan
harapan atau doa dan ucapan selamat atas suatu kebahagiaan dan prestasi, dengan
memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan yang benar dan sesuai
konteks.

B. INDIKATOR

1. Siswa memahami fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan pada ungkapan
ucapan selamat, serta responnya, sesuai konteksnya.
2. Siswa mengidentifikasi fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan pada ungkapan
ucapan selamat serta responnya, sesuai konteksnya.
3. Siswa menerapkan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsure kebahasaan pada ungkapan
ucapan selamat serta responnya, sesuai konteksnya.

MATERI POKOK
Bab ini memuat materi pokok teks lisan dan tulis untuk mengucapkan ucapan selamat atas suatu
kebahagiaan dan prestasi, serta responnya. Kemampuan ini dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan
sosial peserta didik, terutama menunjukkan perhatian dan penghargaan atas kebahagiaan dan
prestasi orang lain.
FUNGSI SOSIAL
Kebiasaan mengucapkan selamat atas kebahagiaan dan prestasi orang lain serta responnya secara
tepat dan berterima sangat bermanfaat untuk menjaga dan meningkatkan hubungan interpersonal
dengan sesama.

Dalam bab ini peserta didik belajar mengucapkan selamat dengan kata ‘congratulations’

(3) Penggunaan nominal singular dan plural secara tepat, dengan atau tanpa a, the, this, those,
my, their dan sebagainya secara tepat dalam frasa nominal
(4) Ucapan, tekanan kata, intonasi
(5) Ejaan dan tanda baca
(6) Tulisan tangan

Teacher : The winner of the story-telling competition in this class is Lina. Congratulations
Lina!
Friends : Congratulations Lina.
Teacher : Lina, because you are the winner of the story-telling competition in this class, you
will represent this class for the story-telling competition of our school next month.
Lina : Thanks, Mam. Thank you everybody.
Teacher : Prepare your best for the competition, will you? I hope you will win the first prize,
too. Good luck.
Lina : I hope so too, Mam. Yes, I’ll do my best.
