ABSTRAK
Untuk meningkatkan raihan lompatan yang maksimal diperlukan latihan yang intensif dan program latihan yang
baik serta metode yang digunakan juga harus khusus yaitu sesuai dengan karakteristik nomor lompat jauh. Untuk
itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas pemberian latihan knee tuck jump dan depth jump untuk
meningkatkan kemampuan lompat jauh pada atlet pemula lompat jauh di SMK 2 Kosgoro Kota Payakumbuh.
Quasi eksperiment (two group pretest and posttest). Intervensi dilakukan selama 2 minggu dengan frekuensi 3
kali seminggu. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 29 orang dengan sampel 20 orang diambil secara purposive
sampling kemudian dibagi dua kelompok eksperiment yaitu latihan knee tuck jump dan latihan depth jump.
Analisa data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat. Analisa univariat menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata
kemampuan lompat jauh sebelum intervensi latihan knee tuck jump adalah sejauh (177,8 cm) dan sesudah sejauh
(268,6 cm), Selanjutnya rata-rata kemampuan lompat jauh sebelum intervensi latihan depth jump adalah sejauh
(172,9 cm), dan sesudah sejauh (255,3 cm). Analisa bivariat kedua latihan menunjukkan nilai p-value = 0,0005
(<0,05=α). Kemudian diperoleh perbandingan efektivitas antara latihan knee tuck jump dan depth jump dalam
meningkatkan kemampuan lompat jauh ditunjukkan dengan nilai p-value sebesar (0,368) > (0,05α). Ada pengaru
h latihan knee tuck jump dan depth jump untuk meningkatkan kemampuan lompat jauh dan tidak terdapat
perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata kemampuan lompat jauh pada kelompok latihan knee tuck jump
dengan kelompok latihan depth jump. Sehingga hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan dasar dalam
mengambil sebuah tindakan fisioterapi dalam pemberian latihan pliometrik khususnya latihan knee tuck jump
dan latihan depth jump.
ABSTRACT
To increase the maximum jump achievement, intensive training is needed and a good training program and the
method used must also be specific, namely in accordance with the characteristics of the long jump number. For
this reason, the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of giving knee tuck jump and depth jump
exercises to improve the long jump ability of beginner long jump athletes at SMK 2 Kosgoro Payakumbuh City.

(<0.05=α). Then the comparison of the effectiveness between the knee tuck jump and depth jump exercises in
improving the long jump ability was obtained as indicated by the p-value of (0.368) > (0.05α). There is an effect
of knee tuck jump and depth jump exercises to improve the long jump ability and there is no significant difference
between the average long jump ability in the knee tuck jump exercise group and the depth jump exercise group.
So that the results of this study are expected to be used as a basis for taking physiotherapy actions in providing
plyometric exercises, especially knee tuck jump exercises and depth jump exercises.
