03 Tugas Pokok dan Fungsi
Tugas Pokok
Melaksanakan kegiatan operasional perkarantinaan hewan dan

tumbuhan dalam mencegah masuk dan tersebarnya Hama
Penyakit Hewan Karantina (HPHK) dan Organisme Pengganggu
Tanaman Karantina (OPTK) serta pengawasan dan/atau
pengendalian terhadap keamanan pangan dan mutu pangan,
keamanan pakan dan mutu pakan, Produk Rekayasa Genetik
(PRG), Sumber Daya Genetik (SDG), Agensia Hayati, Jenis Asing
Invasif (JAI), Tumbuhan dan Satwa Liar, serta Tumbuhan dan
Satwa Langka yang dimasukkan ke dalam, tersebarnya dari suatu We Create
Area ke Area lain, dan/atau dikeluarkan dari wilayah Negara
Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.

Fungsi
Pelaksanaan tindakan karantina meliputi: pemeriksaan, pengasingan, pengamatan, perlakuan, penahanan, penolakan,
pemusnahan, pembebasan (8P) terhadap media pembawa HPHK hewan, produk hewan, OPTK tanaman pangan,
hortikultura ataupun tanaman perkebunan
Pemberian pelayanan teknis kegiatan operasional perkarantiaan pertanian
Pelaksananan pemantauan daerah sebar HPHK dan OPTK.
Pelaksanaan pembuatan koleksi HPHK hewan, produk hewan dan OPTK tanaman pangan, hortikultura ataupun tanaman
perkebunan.
Persiapan dan pengelolaan laboratorium hewan dan tumbuhan meliputi tanaman

pangan, hortikultura ataupun tanaman perkebunan.
Pengelolaan data, informasi serta dokumentasi kegiatan opersional

perkarantiaan hewan dan tumbuhan meliputi tanaman pangan, hortikultura
ataupun tanaman perkebunan.
Pelaksanaan urusan tata usaha dan rumah tangga.

04 Fasilitas
• Balai Karantina Pertanian Kelas II Gorontalo merupakan instansi yang bergerak pada pelayanan
publik yaitu melaksanakan sertifikasi terhadap komoditas pertanian baik hewan maupun
tumbuhan dan segala bentuk pembayarannya termasuk Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak (PNBP)
sesuai dengan PP No. 35 Tahun 2016 tentang Jenis dan Tarif Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak
yang berlaku pada Kementerian Pertanian.
