An electric circuit consists of a bulb, switch,
wire and dry cell.
Suatu litar elektrik mengandungi sebiji
mentol, suis, wayar dan sel kering.


The components of an electric circuit can be
represented by a symbol.
Komponen-komponen litar elektrik boleh
diwakili oleh simbol.





When a bulb is connected from one end to
another end in a row, the circuit is called
series circuit.
Apabila mentol disambungkan dari satu
hujung yang lain atau dalam barisan, litar
tersebut dikenali sebagai litar bersiri.

The electric current flows from the positive
terminal to the negative terminal.
Arus elektrik mengalir dari terminal positif ke
terminal negatif.


If more bulbs are connected in
series in an electric circuit, the
bulbs will dimmer.

Jika lebih banyak mentol
disambung secara bersiri dalam
satu litar elektrik, mentol-mentol
itu akan menjadi lebih malap.

In a series circuit, if one part of the
circuit is disconnected or the bulb is
burnt, the circuit becomes incomplete
and the other bulbs will not light up.

Dalam litar bersiri, jika salah satu
bahagian tidak bersambung atau mentol
terbakar, seluruh litar akan menjadi tidak
lengkap dan mentol-mentol yang lain
juga tidak akan menyala.





In a parallel circuit, electric components
are arranged side by side and parallel to
another.
Dalam litar selari, mentol-mentol
disusun sebelah menyebelah dan selari.

There are more than one path for the
flow of the electric current.
Terdapat lebih daripada satu laluan aru
elektrik.

All the bulbs connected in parallel
in an electric circuit will have the
same brightness.

Semua mentol yang disambung
secara selari dalam satu litar
elektrik akan mempunyai
kecerahan yang sama.


In a parallel circuit, if one bulb is burnt
or removed, electric current will still flow
through another path. The other bulbs
remain.

Dalam litar selari, jika salah satu mentol
terbakar arus elektrik tetap akan
mengalir melalui nyalaan yang lain.
Mentol-mentol yang lain pula akan tetap
menyala.
