Definisi
Siproteron asetat (CPA) adalah obat antiandrogen dan progesteron yang digunakan sebagai
terapi kondisi yang berhubungan dengan androgen seperti akne, hirsutisme, pubertas dini,
kanker prostat, komponen terapi hormon pada wanita transgender dan kontrasepsi oral. (1,2)
Farmakokinetik
Mekanisme Kerja
CPA menghalangi efek androgen seperti hormon testosteron dalam tubuh dengan
mencegahnya dari berinteraksi dengan sasaran biologisnya seperti reseptor androgen (AR), dan
dengan mengurangi produksi dalam gonad dan darah. [10] Selain itu, ia memiliki efek seperti
progesteron dengan mengaktifkan reseptor progesteron (PR).
Efek Terapi
CPA digunakan dalam pengobatan kanker prostat, pubertas dini, kondisi kulit dan rambut yang
berhubungan dengan androgen seperti jerawat, hirsutisme (pertumbuhan rambut berlebihan),
dan alopesia androgenik (pola kerontokan rambut), hiperandrogenisme, dan untuk mengurangi
dorongan seks pada pelaku kejahatan seks atau pria dengan parafilia atau hiperseksualitas. [11]

Kontrasepsi hormonal
Kombinasi CPA dan Ethinylestradiol (EE), formulasinya kadang-kadang disebut sebagai co-
cyprindiol, telah tersedia sebagai kontrasepsi oral kombinasi sejak 1978. [12] 24
Efek Samping
CPA dikatakan equipotent sebagai progestogen dan antiandrogen. [29] CPA dikatakan
progestin yang paling ampuh dari kelompok 17α-hidroksiprogesteron, dianggarkan 1200 kali
lipat lebih kuat dari hydroxyprogesterone asetat, 12 kali lipat lebih kuat dari
medroxyprogesterone acetate, dan 3 kali lipat lebih kuat dari chlormadinone asetat. [29] [ 30]
CPA juga dilaporkan yang paling ampuh dari antiandrogen steroid, [31] dari ratusan steroid
lainnya. [12]
CPA adalah antagonis reseptor androgen kompetitif yang kuat. [24] dengan menghalangi
androgen endogen seperti testosteron dan dihidrotestosteron (DHT) dari mengikat dan
mengaktifkan reseptor androgen, dan dengan demikian mencegah efek androgenik dalam
tubuh. Namun, CPA, seperti spironolactone dan antiandrogen steroid lainnya seperti
chlormadinone asetat dan medroksiprogesteron asetat, bukan antagonis murni reseptor

CPA adalah progestogen yang sangat ampuh. [35] Melalui aksinya sebagai progestogen, CPA
telah ditemukan secara signifikan meningkatkan sekresi prolaktin dan meningkatkan
pertumbuhan lobuloalveolar luas dari kelenjar susu kera rhesus perempuan. [36)
CPA memiliki efek antigonadotropic yang kuat dengan mengaktifkan reseptor progesteron.
[37] [22] [33] Pada manusia, efek ini menurunkan sekresi gonadotropin releasing hormone
(GnRH), [38] Akibatnya, progesteron (P4), androstenedion, T, DHT, dan estradiol (E2) juga
nyata menurunkan pada dosis tinggi, sedangkan sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) dan
kadar prolaktin didapati meningkat. [39] [40] [41] [42] [43] CPA dapat menurunkan sirkulasi
konsentrasi Testosteron 70 sampai 80% pada laki-laki dengan pemberian dosis tinggi. [44]
Pada studi sperma dengan menggunakan CPA secara klinis, Laschet dan Laschet menggunakan
dosis oral 100 mg sehari atau 300 mg intramuskuler setiap 2 minggu, didapatkan secara
signifikan hasrat seksual, ereksi, dan orgasme dalam 100 laki-laki. CPA menurunkan produksi
testosteron dengan menghambat testosteron dan DHT secara kompetitif pada reseptor
androgen. CPA juga menekan fantasi seksual, libido, jumlah ejakulasi, dan spermatogenesis.

CANTALOUPE
Cantaloupe atau Melon (Coleus amboinicus L.) mempunyai beberapa sinonim cantelope,
cantaloup, muskmelon, melon manis, Persia melon merujuk pada berbagai spesies melo
Cucumis dalam keluarga Cucurbitaceae. Adapun sistematika dari buah ini adalah sebagai

Cantaloupe mempunyai berat berkisar dari 0,5 sampai 5 kilogram (1 sampai 11 lb). Awalnya,
cantaloupe disebut, “non-netted, orange-fleshed melons of Europe”. [2] Namun, dalam lebih
banyak penggunaan terakhir ini tiap cantaloupe berwarna jingga dirujuk sebagai C. melo, dan
telah menjadi melon paling populer di Amerika Utara. [2]
Sejarah
Sejarawan tidak yakin tentang asal-usul yang tepat dari blewah. Banyaknya anggota keluarga
melon (Cucumis melo) tumbuh liar di Afrika menyebabkan beberapa peneliti menempatkan
asal melon di benua itu. Tapi melon Afrika mungkin sendiri telah memiliki nenek moyang di

Deskripsi
Buah ini dikenal sebagai "cantaloupe" di seluruh AS yang sebenarnya muskmelon. Ketika kita

Manfaat
Superoksida dismutase (SOD) adalah enzim yang membantu mengatur kadar superoksida

Ekstrak melon oxykine telah ditemukan kaya dengan superoksida dismutase. SOD merupakan
salah satu anti-oksidan system pertahanan internal tubuh yang utama. Penelitian telah
membuktikan bahwa ekstrak melon SOD bekerja sebgai antioksidan seluler dan melindungi
sel daripada kematian yang dipicu oleh stres oksidatif. Superoxide Dismutase memainkan
peran penting dalam mengurangi stres oksidatif terlibat dalam aterosklerosis dan penyakit
serius lainnya. Penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa SOD dapat memainkan peran penting
dalam mengurangi peradangan internal dan mengurangi rasa sakit yang terkait dengan kondisi
seperti arthritis.(20,21)
Vitamin C adalah penderma electron (agen reduksi) yang mencegah kompoun lain teroksidasi
dengan menjadikan dirinya teroksidasi. (22,23) Oleh itu, antioksidan vitamin C bekerja
sebagai scavenging atau quenching dari radikal bebas. Vitamin C tetap dalam bentuk tereduksi
melalui reaksi dengan glutathione yang dikatalisir oleh protein disulfide isomerase dan
