20. Read the article below and answer the following question.
Baca petikan di bawah dan jawab soalan berikutnya.
At present, conventional energy that is available in the country is getting lesser and
will soon drain out. This is an alarming situation for developing countries. Thus,
alternative or renewable energy need to be exploited with great effort to overcome the
shortage of conventional energy. According to the research that has been done,
petroleum is said to finish in 20 years while natural gas is expected to sustain up to
60 years. More alternative energy need to be searched for energy usage and needs
in future. Fuel cell and bio diesel cell are two new methods using chemical reaction.
Besides searching for new alternative energy, we need to be mindful in the usage of
energy.
Other than saving on the usage of energy, we also need to know the methods to use
and dispose equipment that uses chemical reaction. If we were to dispose this
equipment into rivers and seas, they will lead to pollution. For example, cadmium
battery that is being used vastly nowadays can pollute up to 600,000 litres of water. It
is very toxic and is dangerous to aquatic life
Selain dari berjimat dalam penggunaan tenaga kita juga perlu tahu cara-cara untuk
menggunakan dan melupuskan peralatan yang menggunakan tindak balas kimia..
Sekiranya kita membuang peralatan tersebut ke dalam sungai dan laut ianya boleh
menyebabkan pencemaran. Contonya bateri cadmium yang banyak digunakan
