Abstract: The study aims to determine the effect of training, competence and motivation on
employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) Palopo Area. Data was obtained by distributing
research questionnaires to 90 respondents who were employees at PT. PLN (Persero) Palopo
Area. The results of the study show that training affects the performance of employees at PT.
PLN (Persero) Area Palopo, evidenced by the partial test results with the t test obtained t
value of 5.816 is greater than the t table value of 1.988 and a significance value of 0.000 is
greater than 0.05. Competency variables affect employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero)
Palopo Area, evidenced by the partial test results with t test obtained t value of 2.921 is
greater than the t table value of 1.988 and a significance probability value of 0.004 is smaller
than 0.05. Motivational variables affect employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) Palopo
Area, evidenced by the partial test results with t test obtained t value of 3.261 is greater than
the t table value of 1.988 and a significance probability value of 0.002 is smaller than 0.05.
