CONJUNCTION

1.PENGERTIAN
Conjungsi adalah kata atau kelompok kata yang berfungsi
menghubungkan dua kata, frasa (phrase), klausa (clause), atau paragraf
(paragraph). Kata ini merupakan satu dari delapan part of speech
bahasa Inggris.

Conjunction is a word or group of words which serves to connect two

words, phrases (phrase), clause (clause), or paragraph (paragraph). This
word is one of the eight parts of speech in English.

2.JENIS KONJUNGSI
Konjungsi yang menunjukkan pertentangan(Contrast):
 However , Yet = Tapi , Namun
 Despite That
 Nevertheless
 Nonetheless MESKIPUN , DEMIKIAN
 Notwithstanding
 On the other hand
 Otherwise JIKA TIDAK
 Rather = Sebaliknya, Malahan
 Although
 Even though
 Though MESKIPUN

 Whereas = Sebaliknya
 While = meskipun
 Even if = kalaupun
3. CONTOH KALIMAT

1. She goes forward such a tank although / even though /

though many friends confronts her ambition.
(Meskipun banyak teman menentang ambisinya, dia maju terus
seperti tank.)

2. Although/even though I’m annoyed, I try to think positively.

(Meskipun saya terganggu, saya mencoba untuk berpikir positif.)

3. Even if Bima is not qualified enough to enter the top university,

he’ll try again next year.
(Kalaupun Bima tidak cukup berkualifikasi untuk masuk universitas
top tersebut, dia akan mencoba lagi tahun depan.)

4. I like doing execise whereas my brother like sleeping.

(Saya suka berolahraga sedangkan saudara laki-laki saya suka
tidur.)
