Myopia Auricular Haixia, Gao The results of the ten RCTs included in this
Acupressure et al (2019) systematic review provide further evidence
favoring the efficacy of auricular acupressure
on myopia in children and adolescents.
However, the seemingly promising results
should be generalized with caution due to a
few reviewed trials that were of low
methodological quality. Furthermore, the
included studies only focused on the effect of
auricular acupressure on myopia during the
trials, but did not examine how long the
effect of auricular acupressure could last
after the cessation of auricular acupressure
therapy. Therefore, further studies with
higher methodological quality and sufficient
follow-up are needed to determine the
efficacy and safety of auricular acupressure
on myopia in children and adolescents.

Hasil dari sepuluh RCT yang termasuk

dalam tinjauan sistematis ini memberikan
bukti lebih lanjut yang mendukung
kemanjuran akupresur aurikuler pada miopia
pada anak-anak dan remaja. Namun, hasil
yang tampaknya menjanjikan harus
digeneralisasikan dengan hati-hati karena
beberapa uji coba yang ditinjau dengan
kualitas metodologis rendah. Selain itu, studi
yang disertakan hanya berfokus pada efek
akupresur aurikuler pada miopia selama uji
coba, tetapi tidak meneliti berapa lama efek
akupresur aurikuler dapat bertahan setelah
penghentian terapi akupresur aurikuler. Oleh
karena itu, penelitian lebih lanjut dengan
kualitas metodologi yang lebih tinggi dan
tindak lanjut yang memadai diperlukan untuk
menentukan kemanjuran dan keamanan
akupresur aurikuler pada miopia pada anak-
anak dan remaja.
