2. Synopsis Kursus Pengantar Ilmu Saintifik bertujuan memberikan ilmu pengetahuan saintifik kepada semua pelajar fakulti kerana ia merupakan
: komponen ilmu pengetahuan yang menjadi asas kepada semua disiplin pengajian dalam Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan. Ia merangkumi aspek
falsafah, konsep dan prinsip-prinsip nilai sainstifik dan sumbangan Sains Sosial dan Kemanusian terhadap korpus ilmu/pengetahuan sains
secara keseluruhan seperti memberikan kefahaman asas tentang perkembangan dan prinsip-prinsip pengetahuan sainstifik dalam mengkaji
tingkah laku dan fenomena sosial serta budaya, mengemukakan pertimbangan-pertimbangan asas yang perlu dalam amalan memilih dan
menggunapakai pelbagai pendekatan konsep dan teori dalam menghasilkan pengetahuan tentang dunia sosial yang merangkumi pelbagai
dimensi. Akhirnya, kursus ini menerangkan bagaimana ilmu pengetahuan saintifik diterap dan diaplikasikan dalam penjanaan dan
pembentukkan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan.
