This course discusses the fundamental concepts of chemistry. Topics include matter and measurements, chemical equations, gaseous state, atomic structure, modern periodic table
and chemical bonding, principles of chemical equilibrium, acids and bases equilibrium, solubility and complex-ion equilibrium, thermochemistry, electrochemistry and nuclear
chemistry.

constant, the significance of the magnitude of an equilibrium constant, the Q
values, Le Chatelier principles that effected the equilibrium and the theories of
acids and bases (according to Arrehenius, Lewis, and Bronsted Lowry).

Fenomena radioaktif, isotop radioaktif secara semulajadi, tindak balas nuklear
dan radioaktif yang disebabkan secara buatan, trans uranium, kadar kerosakan
radioaktif, energetik tindak balas nuklear, kestabilan nuklear, pembelahan
nuklear dan gabungan, kesan radiasi dan penggunaan radioisotop. Topik yang
dibincangkan menggunakan teknologi yang sesuai.

Nuclear chemistry
The phenomenon of radioactivity, naturally occurring radioactive isotopes,
nuclear reactions and artificially induced radioactivity, trans uranium, rate of
radioactive decay, energetics of nuclear reactions, nuclear stability, nuclear
fission and fusion, effect of radiation and application of radioisotopes. Topics
discussed using appropriate technology.
