After analyzing the students' lack
of interest in reading through
various literature sources and
interviews, it can be determined
the cause of the problem in
accordance with the conditions
1. Students are not used to
reading, such terms can be
because they are used to it.
2. Facilities and
infrastructure in schools
are still incomplete, for
example, there is no media
room and teachers cannot
operate it.
3. Many students do not have
English textbooks due to
damaged and lost books
4. When given an
assignment, many students
do not do it, when they
find difficult words, they
are reluctant to open the
dictionary
5. Teachers and parents do
not motivate students to be
diligent in reading
6. The concept of reading
that is taught does not
vary So it makes students
bored.
7. Students do not take
advantage of school
library facilities
8. Students' free time is
mostly used to play
gadgets to play games,
and social media rather
than reading books.
