ABSTRAK

Tugas utama seorang dosen adalah melaksanakan tridharma perguruan


tinggi yang terdiri dari pendidikan dan pengajaran, penelitian dan pengembangan
ilmu, serta pengabdian pada masyarakat ditambah kegiatan penunjang. Bagi
dosen dengan status tugas hanya sebagai dosen memiliki beban kerja paling
sedikit sepadan dengan 12 (dua belas) sks dan paling banyak 16 (enam belas)
sks. Sedangkan untuk dosen dengan tugas tambahan memiliki beban kerja
paling banyak 16 (enam belas) sks dan paling sedikit 3 (tiga) sks untuk bidang
pendidikan dan penelitian. Perhitungan beban kerja merupakan kewajiban bagi
setiap dosen. Saat ini perhitungan beban kerja pada perguruan tinggi STMIK
Bumigora Mataram dilakukan secara manual yaitu dengan menggunakan
Microsoft Acces. Dengan cara seperti ini akan menimbulkan suatu masalah
dimana pemahaman dosen tentang cara perhitungan beban kerja menjadi
kurang sehingga data yang diinputkan bisa saja tidak valid dan waktu yang
dibutuhkan dosen dalam menghitung beban kerja serta penyampaian laporan
kepada Pembantu Ketua I menjadi cukup lama.
Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut maka dilakukan pembuatan aplikasi
untuk menghitung beban kerja dosen (BKD) yang berbasis client-server. Adapun
metodologi yang digunakan dalam penyelesaian skripsi ini adalah metode
waterfall dengan tahapan yaitu penentuan dan analisis spesifikasi, desain sistem
dan perangkat lunak, implementasi dan uji coba unit, integrasi dan uji coba
sistem. Pada tahap implementasi dan uji coba menggunakan bahasa
pemrograman Delphi7 dengan menggunakan database MySQL.
Dengan adanya aplikasi beban kerja dosen (BKD) ini nantinya akan
menghasilkan informasi dan laporan yang dibutuhkan terkait dengan perhitungan
beban kerja dosen (BKD). Laporan yang dihasilkan adalah laporan kontrak
beban kerja dosen dan laporan kinerja dosen.
Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa
aplikasi yang dibangun dapat memberikan informasi mengenai nilai sks beban
kerja setiap dosen dan memudahkan dosen dalam membuat laporan kontrak
beban kerja dosen maupun laporan kinerja dosen.

ABSTRACT

The assignment of a lecturer is implementing the tridharma of college


which consists of education and teaching, research and development of science,
community service and support activities. For lecturers with only the task status
as the workload of lecturers have at least 12 (twelve) to 16 (sixteen) credits. As
for a lecturer with additional assignment workload has maximum 16 (sixteen)
credits and minimum three (3) credits for education and research. The calculation
of the workload is an obligation for every lecturer. The currently calculation
workload at college STMIK Bumigora Mataram done manually that use Microsoft
Access. That will caused a problem in which an understanded of how lecturer
workload calculation becomes less so that the data that can be entered is not
valid and the time required to compute the workload of lecturers and the
submitted reports to the Assistent Chairman I become long enough.
To overcome these problems, the application for calculating workload of
lecturers (BKD) based on client-server is required. The methodology that used in
the completion of this thesis is the waterfall method which stages of the
determination and analysis of specifications, system and software design,
implementation and unit testing, integration and system testing. At this stage of
implementation and testing using Delphi7 programming language using MySQL
database.
With the application workload of lecturers (BKD), the result will be the
required information and reports related to the calculation of the workload of
lecturers (BKD). The resulting report is a report contract workload of lecturers
and lecturer performance reports.
The conclution of the research are the application can provide information
about the value of credits each workload of lecturers and make easier for
lecturers in contract reporting workload and performance reports of lecturers.
