BUKU JAWABAN UJIAN UNIVERSITAS TERBUKA
The diplomatic relationship between Indonesia and Palestine is demonstrated by the Embassy of the Republic of
Indonesia in Amman, which is accredited to the State of Palestine.
There could be substantial effects on inflation and worldwide economic growth from the Israel-Palestine conflict,
especially in relation to the availability and cost of gas and oil.
163 UN members recognized Israel and 138 recognized Palestine as of November 2023, making the recognition of
Israel and Palestine a complicated and continuing international issue.
The 1945 Indonesian Constitution, which requires support for Palestine, guides the government's stance on the Israel-
Palestine issue. Both Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and President Joko Widodo have repeatedly denounced Israeli
operations in Palestine and asked for the situation to be resolved in accordance with UN-mandated guidelines.
In its diplomatic endeavors, Indonesia has demonstrated its support for Palestine by co-sponsoring a resolution on
Jerusalem's status in the UN General Assembly and pushing for the organization of an emergency special session to
address Israel's onslaught on Gaza. Due to this steadfast support, Indonesia has decided not to recognize the State of
Israel until after Israel and Palestine have negotiated a peace accord.

The text and the search results demonstrate Indonesia's unwavering position in solidarity with the Palestinian people's
struggle, as demonstrated by its participation in international fora and its persistent calls for a fair and peaceful
settlement of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
Nelson Mandela is a legendary character in the annals of history, a name that speaks to the core of fortitude, bravery,
and an unrelenting devotion to justice. His life, characterized by a passionate commitment to the ideals of freedom and
equality, has irrevocably changed the globe. Mandela's astonishing journey from a small town in South Africa's Eastern
Cape to the world stage as a symbol of regeneration and hope is truly remarkable.
Mandela was born on July 18, 1918, in the little village of Mvezo. He was raised in a community that was firmly under
the control of apartheid, a system of racial segregation. The system that imposed racial inequality and oppression
influenced Mandela's early realization of the widespread injustice that characterized South African society. His early
experiences with racial discrimination stoked a desire for justice that would ultimately shape his entire life.
A key component of Mandela's path towards action was his pursuit of education. He studied law at the University of
Fort Hare and then the University of Witwatersrand, in spite of many obstacles. Mandela's lifelong dedication to
eliminating institutionalized racism began at this time, as he got more actively involved in anti-apartheid actions.
The African National Congress (ANC), which Mandela joined in 1943, would serve as the focal point of his anti-
apartheid campaigns. Early in the ANC, Mandela was dedicated to nonviolent resistance; yet, as apartheid grew
increasingly oppressive, he and other activists realized that more drastic means were required. Mandela and others
were compelled to resort to armed resistance after the police mercilessly massacred civilian protestors during the 1960
Sharpeville Massacre.
Mandela was detained and given a life sentence in jail in 1962 for his role in organizing acts of sabotage against the
apartheid government. The bulk of Mandela's 27-year imprisonment was spent on Robben Island, which developed
into a literal and figurative war for his beliefs. Mandela's spirit endured despite his isolation and difficult
circumstances. For millions of people worldwide, his tenacity in the face of hardship and his unshakable dedication to
justice have made him a symbol of hope.
The pivotal moment occurred in 1990 when Mandela was released from jail by the South African government in
response to international pressure and a shifting political environment. After spending decades in prison, Nelson
Mandela set out to bring his country back together and rebuild it. His capacity for both forgiveness and acceptance of
those who had wronged him and his people was evidence of a unique and transforming leadership trait.

Mandela was instrumental in the years that followed in the fall of apartheid and the establishment of a democratic,
inclusive South Africa. He was given the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993 in recognition of his efforts to negotiate the
abolition of apartheid and provide the framework for a democratic, multiracial country. Mandela was elected as South
Africa's first black president in the historic elections that took place the following year, 1994.
Mandela's dedication to nation-building and healing was evident throughout his leadership. He founded the Truth and
Reconciliation Commission, a ground-breaking program designed to mend historical scars by giving both offenders
and victims a forum to tell their tales. Mandela's leadership during this time cemented his reputation as a world
statesman and a moral authority figure. Mandela's life continues to be a vivid thread in the history of the world, telling
a story of bravery, compassion, and unwavering victory.
The busy city streets provided a chaotic backdrop to the chaos I encountered while walking around. The coffee shop
felt like a deserted island in the middle of nowhere, where people used to come to exchange confessions and steal
glances. The smell of freshly brewed coffee, once a soothing beverage, made me feel even colder. I arrived at a lonely
bench in the park, where children played and couples walked hand in hand, under the canopy of weeping frangipani
trees. My silent sadness was reflected in the tears that filled my eyes. I gazed at the undulating pool, its surface a
curved mirror of my broken feelings. The romantic stories etched in the ripples of the water seemed like insensitive
stabs of the cosmos that had abandoned me. The sounds of doves singing overhead told tales of romance, their tones in
stark contrast to the strife within me. Intent on escaping into the depths of my own mind, I closed my eyes. However,
echoes of a previous love continued to reverberate even in the safety of my seclusion, haunting me like a ghost that
wouldn't leave.
The phone was silent, the device that previously conveyed words and texts filled with tenderness and love, every night
we would exchange stories about the day's activities very intimately and not forgetting to express our longing to meet
for a cup of coffee, but now it was gone. The emptiness in my heart was reflected in the lack of a familiar message
tone. The bright emojis and loving phrases that previously graced the screen were in stark contrast to the digital abyss
that symbolized the emptiness of my reality. Days passed, shadows lengthened, and my grip on the gloom tightened.
My love used to be a beacon, but as time passed, it looked more and more like a vague memory. A day without love
turned into a chapter in my life that I wanted to finish and a day when the sun refused to appear in the lonely regions of
my heart.
