The Luwus restaurant - Secret Garden Village, adalah cikal

2016 bakal lahirnya restoran Bebek Timbungan.


Saat itu menu Bebek Timbungan yang sudah jarang sekali
terdengar namanya, dimasukkan ke dalam salah satu menu
di restoran ini.

Menu Bebek Timbungan menjadi salah satu menu yang paling


2017 banyak diminati, baik itu untuk dine-in, maupun untuk dibawa
pulang sebagai oleh-oleh.

Dengan melihat minat yang tinggi terhadap masakan Bali di


2018 restoran The Luwus, gerai pertama restoran khusus ‘Balinese
Cuisine’ dengan nama BEBEK TIMBUNGAN resmi dibuka
oleh Menteri Pariwisata RI saat itu.
Dan tidak lama setelah itu, dibuka kembali gerai kedua di
kompleks wisata edukasi Secret Garden Village. Sebagai
sebuah restoran yang menggabungkan konsep kulinari di
gerbang masuk area wisata Bedugul-Bali.

Tahun ini menjadi titik balik bagi Bebek Timbungan yang


2022 merubah namanya menjadi BALI TIMBUNGAN.
Dengan menu yang lebih kaya ragam, dan menghadirkan
sajian yang digali dari seluruh penjuru Pulau Bali yang kaya.
Bertepatan dengan dibukanya gerai pertama di luar Pulau
Bali, di sebuah kompleks pertokoan bertajuk “Window of
Indonesia” di Sarinah Jakarta.

Menyambut kondisi yang semakin kondusif setelah masa


2023 pandemik berakhir, BALI TIMBUNGAN kembali membuka
restoran yang ke-4 di lingkungan Mahakam - Kebayoran Baru,
Jakarta Selatan dengan menambahkan fitur pelayanan “Dine
in - meeting” yang mampu memfasilitasi berbagai agenda
pertemuan group dan koorporasi.

BASA GEDE
Literally Basa/Bumbu means
spice and Gede means Big and
that exactly what it does, to
add big flavours.

Bumbu is a general term for spices


in Bahasa Indonesia which most the
Balinese dishes are built around. A
perfectly balanced spice paste mixture,
blending a range of ancient seasonings
and spices ground together in adjusted
proportion depending on the recipe.

Bumbu Genep consists of shallots,


turmeric, chillies, garlic, ginger,
galangal, lemongrass, shrimp paste.
This referred to as base in Balinese.
The heart, soul and foundation of the
Balinese kitchen.

MEGIBUNG
Megibung is an activity of enjoying meal share with each
other. The symbolism of togetherness, while eating we can
exchange ideas and chat with each other.
Megibung derived from the basic word “gibung” means
activities carried out by many people.
The Megibung tradition is an activity originally practiced
by the Karangasem community and became a mascot or
characteristic of Karangasem Regency.

MEGIBUNG
SEAFOOD
A tradition was born in the fishing village, when once upon
a time the villagers decided to celebrate their bountiful
harvest from the sea. Each family brought their own catch of
the day like fish, clams, squids, prawns, and other food for
cooked together, where a large fire was burning and a big
pot was boiling. They shared their food and stories about
lives and adventures on the sea with each other. Intimately
grew closer to each other.

For the community, seafood became more than just a food,


but a symbol of togetherness and shared experiences. Even
it would be a representation of the warmth and camaraderie
of the community, as a reminder that the greatest things in
life are often the simplest.
