PENGANTAR ARSITEKTUR ? Merupakan pengantar
bidang ilmu arsitektur yang berisi pemahaman dasar tentang
defenisi arsitektur dan bagaimana arsitektur mempengaruhi
kehidupan manusia.

TUJUANNYA ? Untuk dapat mengenal dasar-dasar

bidang ilmu arsitektur secara umum, yaitu defenisi primitif dan

literaturnya, elemen dasar dan modifikasi arsitektur, kaitan
arsitektur dengan desain, proses desain arsitektur, pelaku
desain arsitektur, skala desain arsitektur, perbedaan fokus
bidang ilmu arsitektur dan latar belakang desain arsitektur
dalam kehidupan manusia.

DOING THE IDENTIFICATION OF PLACE.

The primitive motivation of architecture is to identify

(to recognise, amplify, create the identity of) places.
 Primitive Shelter

Architecture is one of the oldest professions

in human history. It appeared with human
being’s need of shelter to protect himself
from the weather and danger outside.
It first evolved as the outcome of needs (like shelter, security, worship etc.)
and means (like the available building materials and skills). As human
cultures progressed, building became a craft and later the formalized
version of that craft, which is practiced by educated professionals, is called
‘architecture’.
 PAST
• Architecture has been around since the first few
humans have been on earth
• Stick, logs stone etc used for shelter on
prehistoric times
• Before 1800’s : Pillars, stones, bricks etc used to

town planning, urban design, and landscape architecture
to furniture and objects. It could also be defined as the
manipulation of shapes, forms, space and light to change
our environment.
