Peserta didik menggunakan bahasa Inggris untuk berdiskusi dan menyampaikan keinginan/perasaan.
Pemahaman mereka terhadap teks tulisan semakin berkembang dan keterampilan inferensi mulai
tampak ketika memahami informasi tersirat ( Simple Present Tense).

CAPAIAN PEMBELAJARAN
Pada akhir fase D, peserta didik menggunakan bahasa Inggris untuk berinteraksi dan saling
bertukar ide, pengalaman, minat, pendapat dan pandangan dengan guru, teman sebaya dan orang lain
dalam berbagai macam konteks familiar yang formal dan informal. Dengan pengulangan dan
penggantian kosa kata, pelajar memahami ide utama dan detil yang relevan dari diskusi atau presentasi
mengenai berbagai macam topik yang telah familiar dan dalam konteks kehidupan di sekolah dan di
rumah. Mereka terlibat dalam diskusi, misalnya memberikan pendapat, membuat perbandingan dan
menyampaikan preferensi. Mereka menjelaskan dan memperjelas jawaban mereka menggunakan
struktur kalimat dan kata kerja sederhana.

PEMAHAMAN BERMAKNA
1. Simple present tense merupakan tenses yang digunakan untuk membicarakan sesuatu yang umum,
sesuatu yang selalu terjadi berulang-ulang, atau suatu kebenaran umum. Simple present tense adalah
tenses yang paling sering digunakan sehari-hari.
2. Awal pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris peserta didik mampu mengenali beberapa contoh jenis kalimat
Simple Present yang ada di kehidupan sehari-hari mereka dan mampu membuat kalimat Simple
Present Tense.

Pertemuan pertama :
1. Kegiatan Pendahuluan ( 10 Menit )
a) Guru menyapa kepada peserta didik dan menunjuk salah satu peserta didik yang piket pada
saat itu untuk memimpin dalam doa.
b) Mengecek kehadiran Peserta didik
c) Guru menanyakan kabar dengan menggunakan Bahasa Inggris (How are you today?)
d) Guru memberikan brainstorming dengan menampilkan lagu P5.
e) Guru bertanya jawab dengan siswa, mereview materi sebelumnya untuk mengecek
penguasaan kompetensi peserta didik terkait dengan materi pada hari ini yang telah dibahas
sebelumnya.

2. Kegiatan Inti ( 60 Menit)

a) Guru memberikan assesment awal.
b) Guru membentuk kelompok berdasarkaan gaya belajar audiotory, visual dan kinestetik
dan membagikan LKPD teks deskripsi terkait kegiatan yang sering dilakukan secara rutin.

Simple Present Tense.

Before we learn about Simple Present Tense, we should remember about thegroups of words.
Pay attention to the table below to remind us about them.
Sebelum kita belajar tentang itu, kita harus mengingat tentang kelompok katadalam Bahasa
Inggris. Perhatikan tabel di bawah ini untuk mengingatnya.

● Simple Present with To be

To be also known be, is used if there is no verb in the sentence. That means be is used with
nouns and adjectives. There are 3 kinds of to bes, which are: are, am, is. And each has its own
match.

To Be disebut juga be, digunakan jika di dalam kalimat tidak ada kata kerja. Itu berarti be
digunakan bersama dengan kata benda dan kata kerja. Terdapat 3 macam be, yaitu: are, am, is.
Dan masing- masing be memiliki pasangan subjekyang berbeda.

1. I am a teacher - Aku adalah seorang guru
Because teacher is a noun, we have to use to be. And I match with am

Because land animal is a noun, we have to use be. Cheetahs is plural noun, so we
have to use are - Karena hewan darat adalah kata benda, kita harus menggunakan to
be. Cheetah adalah kata benda jamak, jadi kita harus menggunakan are.

• Simple Present with Verb

In simple present tense there are two groups of subjects. Each group hasdifferent rules for the sentence.

Group 1 consists of: I, you, they, weand plural.Group 2 consists of:

he, she, it and singular.

Dalam simple present tense Terdapat 2 grup subjek. Kedua grup tersebutmemiliki aturan
kalimat yang berbeda .

Group 1 terdiri dari: I, you, they, we and plural.Group 2 terdiri

dari: he, she, it and singular.

Look how verbs: have, go, work, and live are used differently in thesesentences:
Lihat bagaimana kata kerja: have, go, work dan live digunakan berbeda dalamkalimat-kalimat ini:

*You have to add -s/-es to the verbs in group 2. Especially for the verb have,you have to change it into has.
Kamu harus menambahkan -s/-es pada kata kerja di grup 2. Khusus untuk katakerja have, kamu
harus menggantinya ke has.

● Function
We use Simple Present Tense to talk about general truths and routine. Simple Present Tense
digunakan ketika kita ingin membicarakan mengenaikebenaran umum dan rutinitas.

General truths are the facts whichare always

true or events that always happen.
Kebenaran umum adalah fakta yang selalu
benar atau kejadian yang selalu terjadi.

Routines are the activities we

do frequently.
Rutinitas adalah kegiatan yang
kitalakukan berulang-ulang.
