BELAKANG
Pendidikan merupakan upaya yang terencana dalam proses pembimbingan dan pembelajaran
bagi individu agar berkembang dan tumbuh menjadi manusia yang mandiri, bertanggung
jawab, kreatif, berilmu, sehat, dan berakhlak mulia baik dilihat dari aspek jasmani maupun
rohani.

Sekolah Luar Biasa adalah sebuah lembaga pendidikan formal yang melayani pendidikan bagi
anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus. Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) dipandang dapat memberikan
pelayanan kepada siswa yang memiliki kelainan fisik dan mental ini agar nantinya mereka dapat
mengenyam pendidikan yang tidak saja didapat oleh anak-anak normal lainnya yang telah di
landaskan oleh Undang-Undang Dasar 1945 dan Pancasila.

Di Kota Palu sendiri terdapat 5 Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) yaitu SLBN 1 Palu terdapat di jl.
Tawaeli, SLBN 2 Palu terdapat di Jl. Nambo Petobo, SLB ABCD Muhammadiyah Palu terdapat di
jl. Lamotu, SLB Bhakti Putra Palu di jl. Dg. Manesa Lasoani, dan SLB Tadulako Mandiri terdapat
di jl. Trans Sulawesi.

KRITERIA SITE
SLB
Permendiknas nomor 2 dan nomor 48 Tahun 2010 tentang rencana strategis kemendiknas
tahun 2010-2014. Pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan ini untuk menjadi pedoman dan
mempermudah penyelenggaraan pembangunan maupun pengembangan Pendidikan ditiap
daerah. Mengenai Sekolah Luar Biasa fasilitas maupun aksesibilitas sudah ditentukan dan
ditetapkan pemerintah. Lokasi strategis untuk Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB), yaitu :

● Berada dilokasi yang jauh dari pusat

keramaian.
● Berada dilokasi yang terkategori
aman dari Zona Rawan Bencana.
● Berada dilingkungan Pendidikan.
● Akses mudah dicapai.

● Terletak di jl. Soekarno Hatta
Bumi Roviega, Tondo Kec.
Mantikulore.
● Site ini memiliki luas ± 13000 m2.
● Tingkat kepadatan lalu lintas
tergolong rendah meskipun site
diapit oleh jl. Primer.

tergolong sangat mudah karena
bersebelahan dengan jl. Primer
dan akses jalannya sudah
dipertegas dengan aspal.
