‫حرف عطاف‬
 Huruf Athaf merupakan salah satu
pembahasan kaidah tata bahasa Arab
yang berada dalam bidang nahwu.
Athaf secara linguistik disebut
konjungtor dan secara bahasa disebut
mengikuti, sedangkan secara nahwu
Athaf yaitu untuk menjelaskan maupun
menggabungkan yang terdiri dari
ma'thuf (lafal yang mengikuti) dan
ma'thuf alaih
Athaf terbagi menjadi dua macam yaitu: Athaf Bayan dan Athaf
Nasaq. Athaf Bayan merupakan tabi’ yang berupa isim jamid
lagi menyerupai sifat di dalam menjelaskan perihal matbu’-nya
serta terikat oleh lafal sebelumnya. Sedangkan Athaf Nasaq
merupakan lafal yang mengikuti lafal yang diikutinya dengan
memakai salah satu huruf Athaf. Huruf Athaf Nasaq terbagi
menjadi 9 macam, yaitu: Wawu ()‫ وـاو‬, Faa (‫) فـــاء‬, Tsumma (‫) ثــــم‬,
Au (‫) أو‬, Am (‫) أـم‬, Imma (‫) إـما‬, Bal ‫ل‬
( ‫) بــــ‬, Laa (‫)الــ‬, Laakin ‫ن‬
( ‫) لـــك‬, dan
Hatta ‫ى‬ ( ‫) حت‬. Keseluruhan huruf Athaf tersebut berfungsi untuk
menggabungkan lafadz yang mengikuti (ma’thuf) dengan lafadz
yang diikuti (ma’thuf alaih) baik dari segi lafal maupun dalam
segi taqdir
