 Latar Belakang
Green building merupakan bangunan berkelanjutan yang mengarah pada struktur dan pemakaian
yang bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan dengan penggunaan energi, air, dan sumber daya lainnya
secara efisien sepanjang siklus hidup bangunan tersebut. Berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Pekerja Umum
dan Perumahan Rakyat RI No.02/PRT/M/2015 tentang Green Building, salah satu persyaratan tahap
perencanaan teknis adalah konservasi air yang bertujuan mengurangi penggunaan air bersih dan menerapkan sistem
pengelolaan air limbah. Hal ini sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan
Kehutanan Republik Indonesia No.P.68/MENLHK-SETJEN/2016 [4] tentang Baku Mutu Air Limbah Domestik yang
menyatakan bahwa air limbah domestik yang dihasilkan tidak melampaui baku mutu.

Berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup Dan Kehutanan Nomor 5 Tahun 2022 tentang Pengolahan Air Limbah
Bagi Usaha Dan/Atau Kegiatan Pertambangan Dengan Menggunakan Metode Lahan Basah Buatan

Salah satu upaya untuk mengolah air limbah domestik dari tiap-tiap mess dan area laundry yang berada di area SMM Site
adalah dengan penggunaan Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). STP digunakan agar air limbah yang dibuang memenuhi baku
mutu dan air tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan kembali untuk penyiraman tanaman dan siram toilet sebagai salah satu upaya
untuk menjaga keberlanjutan sumber daya air
