• Latar Belakang
Indonesia merupakan salah satu Negara yang memiliki potensi lahan dan iklim
yang sesuai untuk bercocok tanam, sehingga mendapat sebutan sebagai Negara
Agraris

Berdasarkan survei langsung yang peneliti lakukan ke daerah perkebunan sayur

tembesi batam, faktor yang menentukan kegagalan pertumbuhan suatu tanaman
hampir 80% dipengaruhi oleh teknik atau cara penyiraman tanaman yang salah.

Teknik penyiraman yang dilakukan secara manual sehingga tidak semua tanaman
mendapatkan asupan air yang merata untuk menghidari tanaman menjadi layu

Peneliti ingin menerapkan IoT (Internet of Things) pada

penyiraman tanaman berbasis mikrokontroller
 Bagaimana merancang sistem penyiraman tanaman

Rumusan otamatis berbasis IoT?

Dasar Teori
 Tanaman holtikultura
Hortikultura merupakan cabang dari pertanian tanaman yang
berhubungan dengan tanaman pekarangan. Subsektor hortikultura
merupakan komponen penting dalam pembangunan pertanian
yang terus bertumbuh dan berkembang dari waktu ke waktu.
Tanaman hortikultura menjadi produk unggulan yang mampu
meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani di Indonesia, baik produk
hortikultura yang tergolong produk buah buahan, sayur sayuran,
obat obatan maupun tanaman hias.

Kangkung darat
Tanaman kangkung dapat tumbuh pada dataran rendah
maupun dataran tinggi. Ketinggian tempat untuk tanaman
kangkung agar dapat tumbuh setidaknya kurang lebih 2000 m
di atas permukaan laut. Perlu diingat tanah yang digunakan
untuk menanam tanaman kangkung haruslah tanah yang datar
agar dapat mempertahankan kandungan air dalam tanah.
Sementara untuk kelembaban tanah yang ideal pada kangkung
darat ialah 60%

Soil moisture Soil moisture sensor FC-28 memiliki spesifikasi tegangan

sebesar 1024 bit mulai dari 0 ± 1023 bit. Adapun gambar
soil moisture sensor dapat dilihat pada Gambar 2.3.

 Kesimpulan
1. Sensor soil moisture dapat digunakan untuk mengukur
kelembaban tanah dengan nilai eror antara 0%-0,61%.
2. Penggunaan alat penyiraman tanaman otomati berbis IoT
dapat digunakan untuk menyiram tanaman dan monitor
suhu menggunkan telegram.
