Prosedur Suntik KB

1. Memberitahu pasien tindakan yang akan dilakukan.

2. Menyiapkan alat secara ergonomik.
3. Pasang sampiran atau penutup tirai.
4. Atur posisi pasien senyaman mungkin.
5. Cuci tangan dengan sabun dan air mengalir dan mengeringkannya dengan
handuk.
6. Pakai sarung tangan.
7. Bebaskan yang akan di suntik dari pakaian.
8. Pasang pengalas dibawah daerah yang akan disuntik.
9. Hapus hamakan daerah yang akan disuntuk dengan kapas alkohol 70%.
10. Menegangkan kulit dengan ibu jari dan jari telujuk tangan non dominant.
11. Tusukkan jarum kedalam otot dengan jarum dan kulit membentuk sudut 90%.
12. Mengaspirasi.
13. Memasukkan obat secara perlahan – lahan.
14. Tarik jarum keluar setelah obat masuk.
15. Rapikan klien dan bereskan alat
16. Lepas sarung tangan

 Cara Penyuntikan KB
1. Tutupkan gorden untuk privasi klien
 Klien dapat nyaman dengan asuhan yang diberikan.
2. Siapkan alat yang akan digunakan dalam pemberian KB suntik 3 bulan
 Persiapan yang matang dan tepat dalam meningkatkan kualitas dalam
memberikan pelayanan kontrasepsi dan lebih efektif dalam melakukan
suatu tindakan
3. Cuci tangan sebelum dilakukan tindakan penyuntikan
 Cuci tangan merupakan langkah awal untuk mencegah terjadinya resiko
terjadinya kontaminasi silang antara petugas kesehatan dengan pasien
4. Lakukan pengocokan pada vial KB suntik 3 bulan (Medroxiprogesterone
Acetate 150 mg/3ml) secara lembut dan merata
 Pengocokan memiliki fungsi agar baik atau larutan maupun kandungan
obat dapat bercampur menjadi homogen dan khasiat larutan KB dapat
dirasakan oleh ibu
5. Lakukan penyedotan obat Medroxiprogesterone Acetate 150 mg/3ml dari vial
sampai habis dengan menggunakan spuit 3 cc
 Pemberian dosis yang tepat dapat meningkatkan efektifitas obat lebih
optimal
6. Tentukan lokasi tempat penyuntikan
 Lokasi yang tepat dalam pemberian KB suntik 3 bulan dapat
meningkatkan efektifitas kerja dari kontrasepsi yang diberikan
7. Bersihkan lokasi kulit ibu pada daerah penyuntikan KB suntik 3 bulan dengan
menggunakan alkohol
 Alkohol berfungsi mematikan kuman pathogen yang ada di sekitar lokasi
penyuntikan
8. Lakukan penusukan pada lokasi kulit yang sudah dibersihkan dengan jarum
suntik steril dengan sudut 90 derajat, lakukan aspirasi pada lokasi tempat
penyuntikan ibu dan masukkan obat ke dalam tubuh ibu.
 Penusukan yang tepat mengurangi rasa nyeri yang dirasakan oleh ibu,
dilakukan aspirasi mengurangi resiko masuknya obat ke dalam vena.
9. Tidak melakukan penekanan yang berlebihan pada lokasi tempat penyuntikan,
beritahu ibu untuk tidak melakukan pengusapan yang berlebihan pada lokasi
tempat penyuntikan
 Pengusapan yang berlebihan menyebabkan obat lebih cepat terserap
dalam tubuh ibu dan mengurangi efektifitas dari kontrasepsi yang
diberikan
10. Buang alat suntik yang benar di tempat yang aman
 Pembuangan yang tepat melindungi petugas kebersihan dari cidera dan
penularan infeksi melalui jerum suntik yang telah digunakan

150 mg / 3ml) gently and evenly
