PENGARUH CAMPURAN ASAM SITRAT DAN ASAM
SULFAMAT SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF PEMBERSIHAN
KERAK PADA PIPA MATERIAL CARBON STEEL
Rival Ekananda
terlarut. Berdasarkan perhitungan ekonomis pembersihan kerak pada equipment
pipa material Carbon Steel A106 Gr. B setelah pengujian pembersihan kerak pada
pipa perkiraan nilai produksi dalam satu tahun bertambah sebesar Rp. 4.478.425.

THE EFFECT OF MIXTURE OF CITRIC ACID AND
SULFAMATE ACID AS AN ALTERNATIVE OF CLEANING IN
CARBON STEEL MATERIAL PIPE
Rival Ekananda
ABSTRACT
The scale is a deposit of inorganic compounds that settles and forms crystal
deposits on the surface of a substrate. The scale in the pipe will inhibit the flow
inside the pipe, so the pipe will likely break because of overheating. Scale in the
pipe will inhibit the flow rate through it, so the breaker pipe will break due to
overheating. This study uses SEM (scanning electron microscopy) testing to
determine the morphological shape and content of chemical compounds in the
scale. To remove the scale, tested 18 pipes using a solution of citric acid and
sulfamic acid with variations in concentration, debit, and time. Calculating the
economic value after testing the scale removal on the pipe. After the testing is done,
the biggest weight loss results were obtained 1.6 grams and the smallest 0.5 grams.
The diameter of the pipe increases with the largest value which is 0.36 mm and the
smallest is 0.16 mm. The visual form between before and after is different because
the higher concentration, debit, and time the faster scale dissolves. Based on
economic calculation of scale crust in the equipment pipe Carbon Steel A106 Gr. B
after testing the scale removal in the pipe the estimated production value in one year
increase by Rp. 4.478.425.

BAB 2
TINJAUAN PUSTAKA
2.1 Kerak
mineralnya mengendap jika dicampurkan.
semua mineral berbentuk silikat.
menyebabkan biaya produksi meningkat. Penambahan ketebalan dinding pipa
terjadinya pemborosan enerji (Mangestiyono, 2015). Penurunan tekanan dan
6
berupa senyawa karbonat, silikat maupun fosfat/sulfat.
2.4.1 Penyebab Terjadinya Endapan Scale
lainnya mengandung larutan sulfate.
tekanan parsialnya, sehingga bila tekanan naik maka tekanan parsial CO2
juga naik dan kelarutan gas CO2 juga meningkat. Sebaliknya jika tekanan
CO2 turun akan menyebabkan berkurangnya kelarutan CaCO3, sehingga
kemungkinan terbentuknya scale CaCO3 akan meningkat (Ali, 2016).
3. Perubahan Temperatur
mengakibatkan terjadinya pembentukan scale. Temperatur mempunyai
Misalnya kelarutan
CaCO3 akan berkurang dengan kenaikan temperatur dan kemungkinan
terbentuknya scale CaCO3 semakin besar.
2.4.2 Penyebab Terjadinya Proses Kristalisasi
menghasilkan crystal. Berikut contoh nucleation pada Gambar 2.3:

d. Iron Compound
Iron Compound seperti FeCO3 (iron carbonate), Fe2O3 (iron oxide),
Cara pembacaan : (contoh gypsum)
jenis scale
SCALE T P
Calcite (CaCO3) ↓ ↑
Gypsum (CaSO4.2H2O) ↑ ↑
Hemyhidrate (CaSO4.1/2H2O) ↑ ↑
Anyhidrate (CaSO4) ↓ ↑
Barite (BaSO4) ↑ ↑
Celestite (SrSO4) ↓ ↑
14
Jika temperature Gypsum, Hemyhidrate, dan Barite naik (↑) maka
pressurenya juga akan naik (↑). Berbeda dengan Calcite, Anyhidrate, dan Celestite,
apabila temperaturnya menurun (↓) maka pressurenya akan naik (↑).
2.4.4 Tanda – Tanda Terjadinya Scale
berikut :
1. Semakin besar Ph
Semakin besar pH cairan, maka akan mempercepat terbentuknya scale.
Scale biasanya terbentuk pada kondisi basa (pH≥7).
2. Terjadinya Agitasi (Pengadukan)
Pengadukan atau goncangan akan mempercepat terbentuknya endapan
scale. Scale biasanya terbentukpada tempat dimana factor turbulensi besar,
seperti sambungan pipa, valve, dan daerah-daerah penyempitan aliran.
3. Kelarutan Zat Padat
• Wellbore
• Well tubular
• Choke
• Flow Line/Production
• Production Separator
• Tank
15
• Waterline
• Berkurangnya produksi
• Wellplugging
• Mengurangi kapasitas pipa
• Meningkatkan resiko kecelakaan dan operasi
• Biaya operasi menigkat
2.4.6 Cara Mengatasi Problem Scale
(HCl, H2SO, C6H8O7 (asam sitrat) or HSO3NH2).
a. Injeksi Surface
pemipaan, gas boot, well head, dan sebagainya.
b. Injeksi Downhole
semakin kurang kinerjanya (Amin, 2013).
miligramper square feet per day/ milligram scale yang terbentuk per kaki persegi
kerjanya :
a. Mengganggu Proses Nucleation

mengandung jumlah partikel representatif, misalnya atom, molekul, ion, elektron,
atau foton. Berikut rumus 2.1 adalah perhitungan mencari mol:
n= ....................................................................................................(2.1)
Keterangan:
n = mol
gr = gram
Mr = Massa relative
2.5.2 Molaritas
Molaritas = ..................................................(2.2)
Untuk menyiapkan satu liter larutan satu molar, satu mol zat terlarut
diletakan dalam labu volumetric satu liter, tambah pelarut secukupnya terlebih
dahulu dan kocok, kemudian tambah pelarut sampai tepat 1 liter. Siswa biasanya
membuat kesalahan dengan mengasumsikan larutan 1 molar, berisi 1 mol zat
20
2.10:
21
jumlah mol zat terlarut
Molaritas =
jumlah liter larutan
2.3 :
Volume1 × Molaritas1 = Volume2 × Molaritas2
Atau
V1 x M1 = V2 x M2......................................................................(2.3)
Keterangan:
V1 = volume 1
V2 = volume 2
M1 = molaritas 1
M2 = molaritas 2
22
Jadi massa relative (Mr)
larutan tersebut adalah 455.
