Spain Wins 2012 Euro Cup

Spain beat Italy 4-0 in the Euro 2012 football finals this Sunday at the
Olympic Stadium in Kiev. The defending champions were up 2-0 by halftime,
and dominated throughout the game. Italy struggled to compete and eventually
lost all of its substitute players. This was the third major tournament victory for
Spain, after winning Euro 2008 and the 2010 World Cup. Prior to these wins, it
had been over 40 years since Spain had enjoyed a major victory. Spain striker
Fernando Torres won the Golden Boot award after scoring three goals in this
year’s tournament.

I. Pendahuluan (10 menit)
a. Greeting and call the register
b. Apersepsi:
 Siswa dan guru melakukan tanya-jawab mengenai berita yang
sering dibicarakan banyak orang.
c. Motivasi:
 Guru menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran yang harus dicapai
oleh siswa di akhir pembelajaran
II. Inti (70 menit)

a. Eksplorasi (10 menit)

 1) Siswa diminta untuk melihat berita yang ditampilkan
2) Siswa secara aktif diminta menyampaikan pendapat tentang berita
yang ditampilkan
3) Siswa dan guru melakukan tanya-jawab mengenai berita olahraga
b. Elaborasi (50 menit)
1) Siswa diberikan teks rumpang “Spain wins 2012 Euro Cup”
2) Siswa diberikan instruksi untuk melengkapi teks rumpang
3) Siswa diperdengarkan audio yang diputar 2 kali
4) Siswa secara individu mengerjakan Worksheet 1 melengkapi teks
rumpang. (Lampiran)
5) Siswa diberikan instruksi untuk menjodohkan kata dengan
pengertiannya
6) Siswa secara berpasangan diminta untuk mengerjakan Worksheet
2 Matching the Words (lampiran)
c. Konfirmasi (10 menit)
1) Guru meminta siswa untuk saling menukar tugas-tugas yang telah
dikerjakan dengan teman sebangku dengan jujur
2) Secara bersama-sama, siswa dan guru membahas jawaban benar
dari kedua lembar kerja
3) Siswa diminta untuk mengumpulkan lembar kerja yang telah
dikoreksi
4) Guru menunjuk salah satu siswa untuk melengkapi teks rumpang
secara lisan
5) Guru menunjuk salah satu siswa untuk menyebutkan makna kosa
kata secara lisan
III. Penutup (10 menit)
a. Siswa bersama guru membuat simpulan pembelajaran
b. Siswa bersama guru melakukan refleksi sederhana terhadap kegiatan
yang telah dilaksanakan
c. Guru memberikan penguatan terhadap proses dan hasil pembelajaran
 d. Guru memberikan penugasan dan menyampaikan rencana
pembelajaran pada pertemuan berikutnya.
