 SATURDAY = SABTU

Vocabularies:
Today              : Hari ini
Now                : Sekarang
Tomorrow       : Besok
Yesterday        : Kemarin
Before             : Sebelum
After               : Setelah

Contoh Kalimat mengenai hari:

1. Today is Sunday. Tomorrow is Monday.
Hari ini adalah minggu. Besok adalah Senin
2. Now is Thursday. Yesterday was Wednesday.
Sekarang adalah rabu. Kemaren adalah kamis
3. Before Sunday is Saturday. (Sebelum minggu adalah sabtu
4. After Wednesday is Thursday. (Setelah rabu adalah kamis)
5. What day is it? Today is Tuesday.
Hari apakah sekarang ? hari ini selasa
6. What is the day after Thursday? It is Friday.
Hari apakah setelah kamis. Hari jum’at
Contoh Dialog Transaksional meminta dan memberi informasi terkait hari.
Shidqi: Hi Zahra, how are you?
Zahra   : Hello Shidqi, I am fine and you?
Shidqi: Fine, too. By the way, What day will we study English together?
Zahra   : We will study English on Sunday morning
Shidqi: All right, See you tomorrow.

CONTOH :

1. Now is January, Next month is February.

4. This month is August. The previous month is July.
5. This is October. Last month is September.
6. The eleventh month is November.
7. The twelfth moth is December.
8. January is the first month of the year.

10. The third month is March.

Untuk menulis tanggal/hari dalam Bahasa Inggris kita menggunakan ordinal

number bukan cardinal number. Silahkan ananda pelajari lagi bagi yang belum
memahami tentang Jenis-jenis angka dalam Bahasa Inggris sebelum mempelajari
tanggal (date). Untuk menyebutkan atau menuliskan tanggal format yang lazim
digunakan adalah mm/dd/yyyy atau dd/mm/yyyy. mm berarti month atau
bulan, dd berarti hari atau tanggal angka, dan yyyy berarti tahun.
Contoh: mm/dd/yyyy : 10/22/1984 : October the twenty second, ninenteen eighty
four.
Untuk menyebutkan tahun ada aturan tersendiri. Jika tahun di bawah tahun 2000
maka kita harus membaca dua digit-dua digit. Untuk lebih jelasnya perhatikan
berikut ini:

1999 : Nineteen ninety nine.

1994 : Nineteen ninety four.
1990 : Nineteen ninety
1985 : Nineteen eighty five
1945 : Nineteen forty five.

Tidak boleh membaca tahun dengan cara seperti menyebutkan angka cardinal.
Misalkan untuk tahun 1999, tidak boleh dibaca one thousand nine hundred and
ninety nine.
Untuk Tahun 2000 ke atas dapat dibaca seperti bilangan angka cardinal number.
Misalkan Tahun 2003 dapat kita baca two thousand and three. Berikut kita akan
latihan menjabarkan tanggal secara untuh berdasarkan simbol angka yang
mewakilinya:

Gunakan Format tanggal : mm/dd/yyyy, Ikuti contoh yang ada.

1. 01/01/1998 It is January the first  nineteen ninety eight.

It is the first of January  nineteen ninety eight.

2. 08/17/1945 It is August the seventeenth nineteen forty five.

It is The seventeenth of August nineteen forty five.

3. 03/02/2001 It is March the second two thousand and one

It is the second of March two thousand and one

4. 05/23/2018 It is May the twenty third two thousand and eighteen.
