Masih ingat kalimat aktif dan kalimat pasif? Kalimat aktif itu yang diartikan Me…membaca, memasak, memberi dll
nah kalau kalimat pasif yang diartikan Di…dibaca… dimasak…diberi dll. Dalam bahasa Inggris kalimat aktif itu
namanya Active Voice dan kalimat pasif Namanya Passive voice.
Let’s see examples ;
Mother made a banana cake yesterday. Kita artikan Ibu membuat kue pisang kemarin.
A cake was made by mother yesterday. Kue pisang dibuat ibu kemarin.
Bisa lihat perbedaannya?
Di chapter ini kita khususkan tentang Active Voice.
Passive voice adalah jenis kalimat di mana subjek kalimat bukanlah pelaku dari sebuah aksi, melainkan menjadi
penerima aksi. Fokus dari kalimat pasif adalah tindakan atau kegiatan itu sendiri, bukannya orang atau hal yang
melakukan tindakan tersebut.
Formula Passive Voice
Formula kalimat pasif berbeda dengan kalimat aktif. Untuk membentuk kalimat dengan passive voice dengan benar,
terdapat formula yang disesuaikan dengen tenses yang kita gunakan, yaitu:
Subjek + to be (yang sudah disesuaikan) + past participle / V3 + keterangan
Kalau kita lihat passive voice disertai dengan TO BE dan kata kerja atau VERB-nya dalam bentuk ke 3.

TO BE is ＋ VERB 3
Sate dibuat dari ayam, sapi atau kambing. Tuh kalian lihat passive voice dengan ciri khasnya ada TO BE
（disesuaikan）disitu contohnya is dan Verb yang digunakan bentuk 3/ Past Participle yaitu made.
Catatan penting kalimat aktif/ passive voice bisa dijadikan Passive voice bila passive voicenya memiliki object
contoh Ani made lemper yesterday. Nah Object di Active Voice akan menjadi Subject di Passive Voice

Mungkin ada yang bertanya apa itu MODAL? Tah modal teh ini
Modal itu salah satu bentuk kata kerja bantu untk menyatakan’
1. Can/could/be able to ini menyatakan ability/ kemampuan
2. May/might ini menyatakan possibility/ kemungkinan
3. Shall/should ini menyatakan permission/ izin artinya
4. Must/have to ini menyatakan obligation/ keharusan PR-ku harus dikerjakan
5. Will/would ini menyatakan rencana/ keinginan
Ketika dalam Passive Voice digunakan MODALS maka kita menambahkan kata ‘be’ sebelum
V3-nya.
Untuk penggunaan TO BE sesuaikan dengan waktu atau tense yang digunakan seperti contoh yang ada di
