Abstrak
Stunting masih menjadi masalah kesehatan di Indonesia yang berdampak pada
gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak balita. Tujuan kegiatan
pengabdian masyarakat adalah mengetahui kejadian stunting pada anak usia
1─5 tahun dan meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu dengan anak stunting tentang
stunting dan penanganannya. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah anak stunting usia
1─5 dan orang tua dengan anak stunting usia 1─5 tahun di Desa Lenda,
Kecamatan Cibal Barat, Kabupaten Manggarai. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada
tanggal 30 Maret 2019. Metode yang digunakan meliputi tahap persiapan,
pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Tahapan persiapan, yakni proses perizinan,
observasi lapangan, koordinasi, dan persiapan materi penyuluhan. Tahapan
pelaksanaan kegiatan, yakni mengidentifiasi anak usia 1─5 tahun yang
mengalami stunting dan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan tentang stunting
dan cara pencegahannya. Tahapan evaluasi meliputi interpretasi hasil dan
evaluasi pengetahuan ibu dengan anak stunting usia 1─5 tahun mengenai
stunting dan cara pencegahannya.
Abstract
Stunting is still a major health problem in Indonesia which has an impact on
growth and development disorders in children under five. The purpose of
community service activities is to know the incidence of stunting in children aged
1-5 years and increase the knowledge of mothers with stunting children in order
to know about stunting and its handling. The targets of this activity are stunting
children aged 1-5 and parents with stunting children aged 1-5 years in Lenda
Village, West Cibal Kec, Kab. Manggarai. This activity was carried out on March
30, 2019. The methods used included the preparation, implementation and
evaluation stages. The preparatory stages include the licensing process, field
observations, coordination with the Lenda Village Officials, the local Puskesmas
and Pustu as well as the preparation of extension materials. Stages of the
implementation of activities include identifying children aged 1-5 years who
experience stunting and providing health education about stunting and how to
prevent it. Evaluation stages include the interpretation of the results, and
evaluation of knowledge of mothers with children aged 1-5 years regarding
stunting and how to prevent it
