Of Islamic School In The Presidential
Election
Assalamu’alaikum. Wr. Wb.
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

The excellency the jury of speech contest in high school level

The honorable commitee of speech contest
The respectable teacher who attends this programe
The respectable friends, ladies and gentlemen are happy

Pertama tama marilah kita panjatkan syukur kapada Allah SWT, penguasa alam semesta
yang telah memberikan kita kasih sayang dan berkah sehingga kita dapat ikut serta dan
juga tersenyum dalam acara lomba pidato ini tanpa ada masalah dan rintangan pada
tempat yang menyenangkan dan damah ini.

Firstly, let’s thank to Allah SWT the master of universe who has been giving us mercies
and blessing until we can take a part and also smile on this speech contest program
without any troubles and obstacles in this happy and peaceful place

Kedua, solawat dan salam tercurah pada Nabi tercinta kita, dia adalah Muhammad SAW
yang telah membimbing kita dari kegelapan ke terang benerang, dari masa kebodohan ke
masa yang cerdas dengan sebuah harapan kita memperoleh pertolongannya di akhirat
kelak, fiddunya wal ahirah, amin..

Secondly, my sholawat and salutation be upon to our lovely prophet, he is Muhammad

SAW who has guided us from the darkness to the lightness, from the stupidity era to the
cleverness era with a hope we will get his help in the day later fiddunya wal akhiroh,
amien.

Ketiga, saya tidak lupa berterima kasih pada MC yang telah memberi saya kesempatan
untuk menyampaikan pidato saya di depan audien..

Thirdly, I’ll never forget to say thanks to MC who has given me opportunity to deliver my
speech in front of audiences.

Berdiri di depan anda semuanya, Saya akan mempresentasikan pidato saya dengan judul
“Pentingnya Bahasa Inggris Di Era Global”.

Standing in front of you all, I’d like to present my speech under the title
“The Role Of Islamic School In The Presidential Election”.
Kamu tahu Pemilu sobat?
Pemilu dimaknai sebagai pesta demokrasi. Melalui pemilu, rakyat menyalurkan aspirasi
politiknya. Penyelenggaraan pemilu di Indonesia dilaksanakan setiap lima tahun sekali.
Pemilihan Umum Presiden dan Wakil Presiden Republik Indonesia Tahun 2014 (disingkat
Pilpres 2014) dilaksanakan pada tanggal 9 Juli 2014 untuk memilih Presiden dan Wakil
Presiden Indonesia untuk masa bakti 2014-2019. Pemilihan ini menjadi pemilihan
presiden langsung ketiga di Indonesia.

Do you know what is national election, guys?

National election interpreted as a democratic party. Through elections, people vote their
political aspirations. Elections in Indonesia is conducted every five years. Election of
President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia in the 2014 (abbreviated as
Pilpres) was held on July 9, 2014 to elect the President and Vice-President of Indonesia for
the period 2014-2019. This election became the third direct presidential election in
Indonesia

Dalam pemilu presiden 2014 ini, ada 2 pasangan calon presiden dan calon wakil presiden
(capres dan cawapres) yang akan berlaga di panggung percaturan politik nasional. Kedua
pasangan capres dan cawapres tersebut akrab disebut di media sebagai Prabowo-Hatta
(pasangan capres dan cawapres nomor urut 1) dan Jokowi-JK (pasangan capres dan
cawapres nomor urut 2). Kedua pasangan capres dan cawapres ini masing-masing
memiliki basis pendukung yang sangat kuat, sehingga baik di dunia social media maupun
di dunia nyata setiap hari pasti ada benturan antar pendukung masing-masing pasangan
capres dan cawapres ini.

In the presidential election in 2014, there are two pairs of president and vice president
candidates who will compete on the stage of national politics. They are familiarly known
in the media as Prabowo-Hatta (presidential candidate number 1) and Jokowi-JK
(presidential candidate number 2). These presidential candidates have very strong support
base, so both in social media and in real world, every day there are clashes between
supporters of these presidential candidates.

Sebenarnya antara Prabowo-Hatta dan Jokowi-JK sama sama hebat. Siapa yang tidak
kenal prabowo, seorang militer yang gagah berani dan tegas, bersih dari KKN, Pintar,
menguasai banyak bahasa dengan fasih, dan seorang orator yang ulung. Dan siapa juga
yang tidak kenal dengan Jokowi, seorang pemimpin yang humanis dan merakyat, Bersih
dari KKN, murah senyum, dan mempunyai emosi yang stabil. Mereka adalah dua calon
pemimpin bangsa yang memiliki kemampuan untuk memimpin bangsa kita.

Of course, Actually Prabowo-Hatta and Jokowi-JK are great presidential candidates.

Nobody does not know Prabowo, an army, who is brave and firm, clean of corruption,
smart, mastered many languages fluently, and an great orator. And, who are not familiar
with Jokowi, a humanist leader, clean of corruption, has beautiful smile, and has a stable
emotions. They are the future leaders who have the ability to lead our nation.

Lalu bagaimana peran Madrasah dalam pergantian kepemimpinan nasional.

Then, what is the role of Islamic School in the change of national leadership.

Ada beberapa peran yang dapat dijalankan oleh madrasah dalam proses Pilpres 2014, baik
itu sebagai individu (siswa dan guru madrasah) maupun sebagai lembaga pendidikan
islam. Peran tersebut adalah:

There are several roles that can be run by a Islamic School in the presidential election
process in 2014, either as individuals (students and teachers of islamic school) and as
Islamic educational institutions. The roles are:
1. Mengawal Proses Pelaksanaan Pilpres 
1. Become the guard in presidential election process
Madrasah mempunyai peran strategis dalam pengawalan proses pelaksanaan pilpress.
Hal ini karena madrasah merupakan kekuatan masyarakat sipil yang bersifat independen,
objektif, dan berlandaskan pada aspek moralitas. Oleh karena itu, pengawalan terhadap
proses pilpres merupakan peran yang strategis untuk dijalankan oleh madrasah. 
Islamic school has an important role in the presidential election process. Because Islamic
School is the social institution that is independent, objective, and based on the aspect of
morality. Therefore, the safeguarding of the national election process is a strategic role to
be run by an Islamic School.

Kemudian apa yang dapat dilakukan?

Then, what can be done by us?

Untuk guru, mereka bisa memberikan penjelasan kepada murid dan masyarakat tentang
bagaimana masyarakat harus bersikap menghadapi pilpres dengan ahlak yang baik.
Untuk murid, Murid seharusnya ikut berpartisipasi, misalnya dengan berdiskusi dengan
teman tentang pilpress, mengampanyekan pemili yang damai kepada masyarakat, dan
jika sudah punya KTP bisa ikut memberikan suara.
Untuk sekolah, Sekolah dapat mengadakan acara diskusi bersama masyarakat yang
berkaitan dengan pemilu..

For teachers, they could provide an explanation to the students and the community about
how people should behave in a good and Islamic attitude to face the presidential election.
For students, students should participate, for example by discussing with friends about
presidential election, campaigning for a peaceful election to the public, and if you already
have an ID card and have right to vote, you could give your aspiration by chosing your
candidate.
For schools, the School can hold discussions with communities related to the presidential
election .

2. Memberikan Pendidikan Politik Kepada Masyarakat

2. Give educational politic to the society.
Pendidikan politik ini dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan contoh bagaimana seharusnya
sikap kita yang baik untuk menghadapi pilpres. Sikap tersebut diantaranya :
Political education can be done by giving a guide about what should we do to face the
election in a good way. For example:

1. Mengetahui siapa calon pemimpin kita.

1. Knowing who is our president candidates
Kita harus mengetahui siapa calon pemimpin kita. Apa kelebihannya dan apa
kekurangannya. Dan manakah dari calon itu yang lebih pantas untuk kita pilih menjadi
pemimpin sehingga mampu membawa bangsa ini menjadi lebih baik.
We must know who our leaders is. What are the positive and negative aspect they have.
Which is the better candidates to be leader that can lead this nation to be better.

2. Tidak fanatik
2. Being not fanatic
Kita tidak perlu fanatik dalam pemili. Ya kita boleh suka, tapi juga gak boleh over. Segala
sesuatu kalo over kan juga akan berdampak buruk. Betul gak?
We must not be fanatic in the presidential elections. Yes, we should love our presidential
candidate, but also we should not be over. Everything that is over also is going to be bad.
Is that right?

3. Menghargai pendapat orang lain

Yang namanya berbeda pendapat dalam pilpres itu adalah hal biasa. Jadi kita tidak boleh
merasa paling bener. Kita harus menghargai pendapat orang lain. Karena terkadang apa
yang kita anggap benar itu belum tentu benar. Betul gak?
Having different opinions in the presidential election is common thing. So we should not
think we are the only one who is right. We must respect the opinions of others. Because
sometimes what we think is right is also not true. Wrong of false, guys?

4. Menerima hasil pilpes dengan iklas

4. Sincerely accept the results of presidential election
Pilpres sudah selesai dan sudah ditentukan siapa pemenangnya. Diantara kita pasti ada
yang pilihannya menang ada juga yang jagonya kalah. Yang menang maka bersyukurlah,
akan tetapi yang kalah, tidak sepatutnya kita terlalu kecewa. Akan tetapi kita harus
menerima hasilnya dengan iklas. Karena apa yang sudah ditentukan itu adalah pilihan
Allah. Dan kita harus menerimanya dengan hati yang ikhlas. Semua pasti akan ada
hikmahnya deh bro..
Presidential election is over and the winner has been determined. Among us there must
be a person who the president candidate is win or lose. A person who the candidate is win
should be thankful, but the losers, you should not be too disappointed. But we must
sincerely accept the result. Because what has happened, it was God’s choice. And we must
sincerely accept it. I am sure everything will bring possitive effect for us..
