● Interview is a conversation between two or more people and takes place between the
source and the interviewer.

Here are some forms of interviews:
1. News interviews were conducted to find news material.
2. Interview with prepared questions in advance.
3. Telephone interviews are interviews conducted by telephone.
4. Personal interview.
5. Interview with many people.
6. An impromptu or urgent interview.
7. Group interviews in which a group of journalists interview a person, official, artist,
athlete, and so on.

In terms of implementation, interviews are divided into three types, namely:
1. Free interview.
In a free interview, the interviewer is free to ask the interviewee anything, but it must be noted
that the question relates to the desired data. If you're not careful, sometimes the question can get
out of hand.
2. Guided interview. In a guided interview, the interviewer is provided with a complete and
detailed list of questions.
Ditinjau dari segi pelaksanaannya, wawancara dibagi menjadi tiga jenis yaitu:
1. Wawancara bebas.
Dalam wawancara bebas, pewawancara bebas menanyakan apa saja kepada narasumber,
namun harus diperhatikan bahwa pertanyaan itu berhubungan dengan data-data yang
diinginkan. Jika tidak hati-hati, kadang arah pertanyaan tidak terkendali.
