grace and the joy of all of us can still gather in this place without any barriers at all and in
good health. Not forgetting the salawat and greetings we pour out to the Prophet
Muhammad who has brought us out of the dark ages to the era of bright light today.
How are you guys? I’m sure you’re all in good health. Before I start, have you guys known
me already? Therefore, I would like to introduce myself first. My name is Aulia Dwi
Nurhayyu, you can call me Aulia. I was born on February 2nd, 2021 in Jember.  Right now,
I’m student in MAN 1 Jember. In here, anyone else from MAN 1 Jember also?
Ladies and gentlemen,

Sekarang 10 November adalah hari pahlawan. Hari Pahlawan menjadi hari ketika bangsa Indonesia
mengenang jasa para pahlawan yang telah rela mengorbankan jiwa, tenaga, harta, hingga tumpah
darahnya untuk melawan para penjajah di Bumi Pertiwi ini. Mereka bertempur dengan
mengorbankan nyawanya di medan perang untuk mempertahankan kemerdekaan Indonesia.

Right now, 10 November is a heroes’ day. Heroes' Day is a day when the Indonesian people
remember the services of the heroes who were willing to sacrifice their lives, energy, wealth, and
blood to fight the invaders on this motherland. They fought at the cost of their lives on the
battlefield to defend Indonesia's independence.

Ada istilah umum yang mengatakan bahwa “Bangsa yang besar adalah bangsa yang meghargai dan
menghormati jasa pahlawannya.” Seperti kata Bung Karno yang juga mengatakan “Negara yang
besar adalah yang tidak melupakan jas merah,” artinya tidak akan melupakan sejarah suatu bangsa
tersebut. Para pahlawan yang rela mengorbankan hidupnya demi menjaga dan mempertahankan
negara Indonesia.

There is a general term that says that "A great nation is a nation that respects and honors the
services of its heroes." As Bung Karno said, "A great country is one that does not forget the red
coat," meaning it will not forget the history of a nation. Heroes who are willing to sacrifice their lives
to protect and defend the Indonesian state.

Hari Pahlawan memang diperingati setiap 10 November, tapi jadilah pahlawan setiap harinya dalam
kehidupan sehari-hari. Jadilah pahlawan yang dimulai untuk diri sendiri dan keluarga dengan
mencetak prestasi hingga akhirnya menjadi pahlawan bagi negeri ini. Jangan jadikan Hari Pahlawan
ini sebagai unsur seremoni belaka tanpa menghayati nilai-nilai perjuangan dari pahlawan kita.
Sebagai generasi mudah sudah saatnya kita mengambil nilai-nilai tersebut yang direfleksikan dalam
kehidupan sehari-hari.

Hero's Day is indeed celebrated every November 10, but be a hero every day in daily life. Be a hero
who starts for yourself and your family by scoring achievements until you become a hero for this
country. Don't make this Hero's Day a mere ceremonial element without living up to the values of
our heroes' struggle. As a younger generation, it is time for us to take these values which are
reflected in our daily life.

Akan tetapi disisi lain, banyak generasi muda saat ini yang bersikap apatis, bersikap acuh yang
tingkat kepedulian terhadap sesama dan masalah dalam negeri sangat tipis. Padahal, tugas generasi
muda memiliki tugas lainnya, memang bukan lagi melawan para penjajah, tetapi bertempur dengan
segala ketertinggalan seperti kebodohan dan kemiskinan dalam negeri.
But on the other hands, many of day's young generation are apathetic, indifferent, whose level of
concern for others and domestic problems is very low. In fact, the task of the younger generation is
no longer against the invaders, but to fight with all backwardness such as ignorance and poverty in
the country.

Di era dengan perkembangan teknologi yang sangat pesat ini, semakin membuat peran generasi
muda sebagai agen perubahan kurang menonjol. Banyak yang menyalahgunakan teknologi digital ini
dengan melakukan perbuatan yang sebetulnya tidak perlu. Perilaku konsumtif, aktivitas di dunia
maya semakin membuat mereka terlena di dunia yang serba instan saat ini.

In this era of high technological development, the role of the younger generation as agents of
change is less prominent. Many abuse this digital technology by doing things that are not really
necessary. Consumptive behaviour, activities in cyberspace increasingly make them complacent in
today's instant-paced world.

Yang lainnya adalah masalah tawuran antar pemuda, narkotika di kalangan remaja, dan perilaku seks
bebas yang terus meningkat, merupakan masalah besar yang dihadapi bangsa Indonesia. Semakin
jauh generasi muda dari kegiatan yang produktif dan positif, semakin jauh juga jalan bagi Indonesia
untuk menjadi negara yang makmur karena sang pembaharu masa depan yang masih belum
memahami peran mereka sesungguhnya.

The others are the problem of brawls between youths, narcotics among teenagers, and free sex
behaviour which continues to increase, is a big problem faced by the Indonesian nation. The farther
the young generation is from productive and positive activities, the further the road for Indonesia to
become a prosperous country because the future reformers still do not understand their real role.

Generasi muda sudah seharusnya memiliki jiwa kepemimpinan yang harus selalu maju ke depan
karena masa depan bangsa ada ditangan anak-anak muda. Penting untuk memiliki sikap
kepemimpinan dengan kepekaan terhadap masalah sosial, lingkungan, dan politik sebagai
representasi wajah baru bangsa Indonesia.

The younger generation should have a leadership spirit that must always move forward because the
future of the nation is in the hands of young people. It is important to have a leadership attitude
with sensitivity to social, environmental and political issues as a representation of the new face of
the Indonesian nation.

Selamat Hari Pahlawan ke-76 dan jadilah generasi muda yang memberikan dampak postif sebagai
motor bagi kemajuan bangsa, untuk menuju bangsa yang adil dan makmur.

Dan diakhir, itulah sejarah dan makna Hari Pahlawan bagi generasi muda Indonesia yang wajib Anda
ketahui. Tetap kejar mimpi dan cita-cita Anda karena hidup yang bermakna adalah hidup yang
