BAB I PENDAHULUAN
 LATAR BELAKANG
Mahasiswa dalam setiap kegiatannya tidak terlepas dai stres. Stres yang dialami mahasiwa bisa
disebabkan karena faktor eksternal dan internal. Faktor eksternal dapat bersumber dari tugas-tugas
kuliah, tuntutan orang tua agar anaknya berhasil dalam pendidikan, maupun tuntutan biaya kuliah.
Sedangkan faktor internal bersumber dari kemampuan mahasiswa mengikuti perkuliahan (Gamayanti &
Syafei, 2018). Prevalensi stres pada mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran adalah sekitar 63,8%, dan prevalensi
stres berat adalah 25,2%. (Riskesda 2016)
Konsumsi kopi juga menjadi tren di kalangan anak muda, pelajar dan mahasiswa Indonesia untuk
memberikan stimulasi, menambah energi dan menghilangkan kantuk saat menjelang ujian (Liveina,
2019)
Kafein biasanya memperpanjang latensi tidur, mengurangi total waktu tidur, efisiensi tidur, dan
memperburuk kualitas tidur. Aktivitas Slow wave sleep dan Electroencephalographic (EEG) Slow wave
sleep biasanya berkurang, sedangkan tahap 1 meningkat Kualitas tidur adalah suatu keadaan di mana
tidur yang dijalani seorang individu menghasilkan kesegaran dan kebugaran di saat terbangun (Nashori
dan Diana, 2018).
 RUMUSAN MASALAH
Apakah terdapat pengaruh tingkat stress terhadap kualitas tidur mahasiswa baru FK UMS 2020?
Apakah terdapat pengaruh konsumsi kafein terhadap kualitas tidur mahasiswa baru FK UMS 2020 ?
Apakah terdapat hubungan antara tingkat stress dan konsumsi kafein terhadap kualitas tidur mahasiswa
baru FK UMS 2020 ?

TUJUAN PENELITIAN
Mengetahui pengaruh tingkat stress terhadap kualitastidur mahasiswa baru FK UMS 2020.

Mengetahui pengaruh konsumsi kafein terhadap kualitas tidur mahasiswa baru FK UMS 2020.
Mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat stress dan konsumsi kafein terhadap kualitas tidur mahasiswa

BAB II KERANGKA KONSEP

BAB III METODE PENELITIAN
 Jenis penelitian
Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian analitik
dengan metode cross sectional teknik pengumpulan data dengan
memberikan kuisoner kepada responden yang masuk kriteria.
Kuesioner yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan pada
Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) dengan menggunakan
pertanyaan-pertanyaan tertutup dan terdapat modifikasi yang
dilakukan oleh peneliti.

Analisis univariat yaitu untuk melihat distribusi frekuensi karakteristik responden, distribusi frekuensi
tngkat stress, konsumsi kafein dan frekuensi kualitas tidur. Sedangkan analisis bivariat untuk melihat
hubungan antara dua variabel

Analisis Univariat
Dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik dari variabel independen dan variabel dependen.
Keseluruhan data yang didapat dari pengisian kuesioner diolah dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel
distribusi frekuensi

Analisis Bivariat

untuk melihat adanya hubungan antara variabel variable independen dan variable dependen yang
keduanya memiliki jenis data kategorik. Untuk membuktikan ada tidaknya hubungan tersebut,
dilakukan statistik uji Chi-Square dengan derajat kepercayaan 95% (α =0,05).
