 Pengertian Pompa Reciprocating

“ Pompa reciprocating adalah pompa positive displacement dimana energi mekanik dari
penggerak pompa diubah menjadi energi aliran dengan menggunakan elemen bolak-balik
“
(reciproprocating ) yang ada didalam silinder. Dalam pompa reciprocating tindakan pemompaan
ini dicapai oleh
gerakan bolak-balik dari piston, plunger, atau diafragma.

 Prinsip Kerja Pompa Reciprocating
Prinsip kerjanya yaitu dengan memindahkan fluida yang masuk menuju ke sisi
buang sehingga tidak ada aliran balik maupun kebocoran dari sisi buang ke
sisi masuk. Jadi, akan menghasilkan head yang tinggi dengan kapasitas yang
rendah. Dalam rumah pompa, akan terjadi perubahan energi, yaitu energi
mekanik akan langsung diubah menjadi energi potensial untuk mengalirkan
fluida.

Pompa reciprocating mempunyai bagian utama berupa torak

yang bergerak bolak– balik didalam silinder untuk dapat
mengalirkan
fluida. Pompa ini dilengkapi dengan katup– katup, dimana fluida
bertekanan rendah dihisap melalui katup hisap ke ruang silinder,
kemudian ditekan oleh torak atau diafragma hingga tekanan
statisnya naik dan kuat untuk mengalirkan fluida keluar melalui
katup tekan.
 Komponen Pompa Reciprocating
Pompa reciprocating dibagi menjadi dua bagian komponen
utama penyusun yaitu Power end dan Liquid end. Power end
merupakan komponen yang bertugas mentransfer gerak rotasi
atau berputar dari Prime Mover dan diubah menjadi gerakan Your Picture Here
linier bolak balik melalui connecting rod atau crosshead.
Sedangkan Liquid end merupakan komponen yang
bersentuhan langsung dengan cairan yang dipindahkan serta
mengendalikannya.

Pompa tenaga (power pump) ini mempunyai poros engkol yang
digerakkan dari sumber penggerak luar, umumnya motor listrik,
sebuah mesin atau rantai.

Secara umum (berdasarkan konstuksi dan komponen penggeraknya), pompa reciprocating
terbagi menjadi 3 jenis yaitu pompa piston, pompa plunger, dan pompa diafragma

Piston Plunger Diafragma
Pompa piston memanfaatkan gerak maju mundurnya piston sebagai penggerak masuk
keluarnya suatu fluida. Aplikasinya pada pompa air, pompa minyak socker, dll. Pompa Pompa Piston
piston mempunyai bagian utama berupa torak yang bergerak bolakbalik didalam
silinderFluida masuk melalui katup hisap (suction valve) ke dalam silinder dan
kemudian
ditekan oleh piston, sehingga tekanan statis fluida naik dan mampu mengalirkan fluida
keluar melalui katup tekan (discharge valve).

Plunger pump merupakan suatu silinder baja yang panjang, packingnya terletak
konstan (stationary) pada bagian dalam silindernya. Perbedaannya dengan pompa Pompa
piston yaitu
bentuknya lebih panjang dan packingnya menempel pada silinder. Sedangkan pada Plunger
pompa piston, packingnya menempel pada piston itu sendiri.

Pompa ini digunakan untuk memindahkan fluida. Prinsip kerja pompa ini juga hampir
sama dengan pompa piston, namun pada pompa diafragma memiliki dua silinder, Pompa
dan pada dasarnya cara kerjanya hampir sama dengan paru-paru manusia yaitu
