Dalam rangka meningkatkan kapasitas, jangkauan, dan inovasi
koperasi, mewujudkan UMKM Naik Kelas dan Modernisasi Koperasi,
Kementerian Koperasi dan UKM menetapkan empat strategi
transformasi. Sekretaris Kementerian Koperasi dan UKM Arif Rahman
Hakim menyebutkan empat strategi tersebut yakni modernisasi
koperasi, transformasi usaha informal ke formal, transformasi digital
dan pemanfaatan teknologi usaha, serta transformasi ke dalam rantai
nilai global.
Hal ini diungkapkannya dalam webinar Hari Koperasi ke-74 Tahun
2021, "Menciptakan Ekosistem Koperasi Berbasis Anggota Menuju
Koperasi Modern", Sabtu (10/7/2021). Dia mengatakan pemerintah
merumuskan rencana pengembangan ekonomi Indonesia dalam lima
tahun ke depan sebagaimana tertuang dalam RPJMN 2020-2024.
"Khusus terkait koperasi, ditargetkan peningkatan kontribusi PDB
koperasi terhadap PDB nasional sebesar 5,5%, dan pengembangan
500 koperasi modern pada tahun 2024," kata Arif.
