DESKRIPSI MATA KULIAH & HASIL PEMBELAJARAN – COURSE DESCRIPTION & LEARNING OUTCOME
Epidemiologi intermediate merupakan mata kuliah epidemiology lanjutan. Mahasiswa diharapkan sudah
pernah mengambil mata kuliah basic epidemiology sebelumnya. Mata kuliah ini merupakan applied
Deskripsi epidemiology dalam bidang kesehatan dan pelayanan kesehatan masyarakat. Materi mencakup basic
Mata Kuliah konsep epidemiology, sejarah perkembangan epidemiology dan kontribusinya terhadap kemajuan
(Course Description) kesehatan masyarakat, aplikasi konsep pengukuran epidemiology dalam pencegahan dan
penanggulangan penyakit menular dan tidak menular. Materi penting lainnya adalah analisis risk factor
dan penentuan causation dengan menggunakan beberapa research design dan teknik analisis. Beberapa
topic tutorial akan diberikan untuk menjamin tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran.
Setelah menyelesaikan mata kuliah ini mahasiswa diharapkan mampu menggunakan konsep dan
pendekatan epidemiology dalam pencegahan penyakit dan peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat.
Rincian kompetensi yang harus dimiliki mencakup:
1. Memahami konsep epidemiology dan penggunaannya dalam bidang kesehatan masyarakat;
2. Memahami sejarah perkembangan epidemiologi dan mampu menganalisis kontribusi terhadap
perkembangan kesehatan masyarakat;
3. Menghitung frekuensi penyakit, termasuk menghitung incidence dan prevalence, rate/ratio suatu
STANDAR KOMPETENSI penyakit;
(Learning Outcome) 4. Menghitung asosiasi dan causation factor resiko suatu penyakit;
5. Menggunakan konsep dan pendekatan epidemiology dalam pencegahan dan penannggulangan
penyakit menular dan tidak menular;
6. Menjelaskan dampak epidemiology beberapa penyakit terhadap kebijakan pemerintah daerah dan
nasional;
7. Memahami berbagai research design epidemiology dan mampu menggunakannya dalam penelitian
sesuai dengan permasalahan dan research question; dan
8. Melakukan outbreak investigation, surveillance dan screening.
