ABSTRACT
Titration is a method to determine the level of a substance by using another substance
that has been known concentration. In physical and analytical chemistry the titration
principle is widely used so it must be understood in order that the titration results be as
desired. The purpose of the titration is to standardize a secondary standard solution 0.1
N HCl with Na2CO3. The method used in this acid-base titration is alkalimetric acid
titration method with methyl orange indicator. Results obtained from 11 repetitions is
diverse. The average volume of HCl required to reach the endpoint of titration is 10.30
ml so that the average normality of HCl is 0.0976 N.
