2.        Siswa dapat menemukan gagasan utama, informasi rinci dan informasi tertentu dari
teks eksposisi analitis secara lisan dan tulis terkait isu aktual yang ada disekitar.
3.   Siswa dapat menyusun dan mempresentasikan teks eksposisi analitis secara lisan dan
tulis tentang isu aktual yang ada disekitar dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur

Analytical Exposition Text

 Definition : Exposition is a text that elaborates the writer’s idea about the phenomenon / hot
issue surrounding.

 Social function : To persuade the reader or listener that the idea is important matter.

 Characteristic:
1.Use simple present tense
2.Use sentence connector to link arguments. Such as: One important effect, In addition,
furthermore, Firstly, Secondly, Thirdly, Finally,etc.
3.Use phrases for making conclusion
Such as: - From the facts above, I personally believe…
- From the reasons listed above, I conclude that …
- Therefore ..
- My conclusion is that …..
- It can be concludes that…

 Generic structure :
Thesis:
Introduce the topic and indicate the writer’s position
Argument:
Explaining the arguments to support the writer’s position. The number of arguments may vary, but
each argument must be supported by evidence and explanation.
Reiteration:
Restating the writer’s point of view to strengthen the thesis.

 Topic, Topic Sentence, & Supporting Sentence

Topic : Something being talk/discuss.
Topic sentence : A sentence containing a topic and a controlling idea.
Controlling idea : Something that limit the topic.
Supporting sentence : Some sentences which support the topic sentence by telling how, what,
when, where, why, how much, or how many.

pollution and traffic jam and insurance costs due to accidents. Greener cities, safer cities, more

gas, spending less frequently on car repairs, and so on. That money will stay in our wallets and we

Why is breakfast important? “Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Prince and Dine like a Pauper”
It’s a well known phrase, but do you follow it?

Breakfast provides many benefits to our health and wellbeing. Breakfast provides the body and
brain with fuel after an overnight fast – that’s where its name originates, breaking the fast! Without
breakfast you are effectively running on empty, like trying to start the car with no petrol!

Breakfast support cognitive function. Breakfast also restores glucose levels, an essential
carbohydrate that is needed for the brain to function. Breakfast provides energy, studies have shown
how eating breakfast can improve memory and concentration levels and it can also make us happier
as it can improve mood and lower stress levels.

Breakfast provides energy needs. People’s energy needs vary depending on activity levels and life
stage but typically men require more energy than women. Growing children require a lot of energy,
as an example boys aged 7-10 years should consume approximately 1970 kcals per day, and girls
aged 7-10 years should consume approximately 1740 kcals.
