Orbital tumors can be classified based on its origin into primary, secondary and metastatic.
From histology examination orbital tumors can be classified into epithelial, mesenchymal,
vascular, neurogenic, lymphatic and hematogenic, developmental and pigmented. Diagnosis
must be established early to prevent any damage to orbital structure caused by enlarging lesion.
Different approach needed when it come to orbital tumor, considering the orbit is full of
structures critical for vision. Treatments such as surgery or radiation therapy have to be
carefully planned as it could cause vision loss or visual dysfunction.
