pembuatan bahan rayon viskosa.
Abstract – Bamboo is one of the plants that is easy to grow, has a high growth rate and does not require special care.1,2 This
abundant bamboo resource needs to be increased its utilization in order to contribute to national economic growth. As a basic
material for textile products, bamboo fiber processing technology has actually developed where bamboo raw materials are
processed through processes such as the manufacture of viscose rayon. In this study, the extraction of bamboo fibers from
bamboo ropes (Gigantochloa apus) can be spun into bamboo fiber yarn as raw material for creative industries. The purpose of
this research is to obtain the optimum method of bamboo fiber extraction with a chemical-mechanical combination process
that is more environmentally friendly and to evaluate the characteristics of the bamboo fiber ropes produced. The research
design used was experimental, in this research it was Merapi sand, fly ash and CNTS and a polyester resin matrix as a
composite material or matrix. In the bending test, the greatest bending strength occurred in the composite with a volume of
40% coconut coir fiber, namely 294.38 Mpa and the smallest strength in the tensile test with a fiber volume of 60% which was
232.38 Mpa. This fraction produces the greatest bending stress because the number of natural fibers present in the composite
is small and can produce a denser bond. So that the composite becomes more flexible when the bending test is carried out.
