berkembang dari bahasa Perancis "informatika" yang
mengacu pada bidang ilmu komputer terapan yang
berkaitan dengan pemrosesan informasi seperti informasi

Teknologi dalam perkembangannya saat ini

telah menunjukkan manfaat dan perubahan
yang besar di berbagai bidang, tak
terkecuali di bidang kesehatan. Sudah
sangat banyak sumbangan para
pengembang teknologi yang telah diberikan
untuk menunjang kemajuan ilmu
pengetahuan sehingga bermanfaat juga
untuk kesehatan.
 Telehealth
Penyediaan layanan kesehatan dan informasi yang terkait melalui teknologi
telekomunikasi.

Fungsi:

Pemberi layanan kesehatan kesehatan dapat melakukan

monitoring pasien dari jarak jauh, seperti memonitor tanda-tanda
vital pasien, berat badan, tekanan darah, nadi dan indikasi lain
yang merupakan tanda-tanda yang emergensi serta keluhan
pasien dan obat-obatan.
 PDA (Personal Digital Assistants)

Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang berbentuk alat komputer genggam portable
dan dapat dipegang tangan.

Fungsi:
● Mengakses secara cepat informasi tentang obat, penyakit, dan
perhitungan kalkulasi obat atau perhitungan cairan IV fluid/infus,
● Menyimpan data pasien,
● Membuat grafik/table, mengefisiensikan data dan menyebarluaskan.
● Mengorganisasikan data,
● Mendokumentasikan intervensi keperawatan dan
● Membuat rencana asuhan keperawatan,
● Menyimpan daftar nama, email, alamat website, dan agenda harian
menggunakan media ini.
 Model DSS (Decision Support System)

Suatu sistem informasi manajemen dengan pendekatan antara pemecahan

masalah dan komunikasi yang kapabel untuk pemecahan permasalahan
dalam sistem semistruktur.

Penerapan pencatatan yang berbasis komputer juga dilaksanakan. Penerapan

teknologi informasi di ruang rawat anak yang telah dilakukan diharapkan dapat
memfasilitasi kinerja perawat yang cukup waktu dan tenaga untuk dapat
melaksanakan kegiatan pelayanan keperawatan anak sehari-hari, mendokumentasikan
kegiatan dengan benar dan terinci, tetap dapat memperhatikan prinsip keperawatan
anak, dan perawat akan menjadi semakin pandai.
