A. Tujuan Pembelajaran
Setelah mengikuti proses pembelajaran melalui Pendekatan Scientific-TPACK,
model Problem Based Learning dengan langkah-langkah 4Cs peserta didik
diharapkan dapat berfikir kritis, teliti dan kreatif dalam mengidentifikasi situasi
yang memunculkan pernyataan pendapat dan pikiran, kemudian peserta didik
diharapkan dapat menggunakan, menyusun, melengkapi teks, menulis daftar
pendapat dan menciptakan teks menyatakan dan menanyakan pendapat dan
pikiran sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannnya.

 An opinion is the way you feel or think about something. Our opinion about
something or someone is based on our perspective. Whenever we give or
express our opinion, it is important to give reasoning or an example to support
our opinion.
 Asking Opinion is a sentence which asking opinion or argument to other
people.
 Giving Opinion is a sentence that gives a reason to someone or other

Fungsi social

 The social function of asking and giving opinion are to ask the opinion of
others and to express our own opinion. In communication sometime we need
someone’s opinion to overcome our problems since we feel difficult to solve.
When someone speaks, he may convey his idea, feeling and emotion.

Struktur teks

Asking opinion is a sentence which asking opinion or argument to other


people. There are expressions of asking opinion in two situations:

PREFACE

The writer says the praise and gratitude to God Almighty, for all the
graces and blessings that provide health and wisdom to the writer that this
learning material (Problem Based Learning) can be completed properly in
accordance with the planned time. Learning material entitled “Asking and Giving
Opinion”, prepared to fulfill the task of students PPG (DALJAB) 2021 in Islamic
University of Malang (UNISMA).

In this learning material, the writer presents several references and


solutions to overcome competency deficits and misconceptions. This teaching
material was developed by prioritizing the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS)
approach and integrating technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge
(TPACK)

On this occasion the writer likes to thank to Mr. Dr. Muhammad Yunus,
M.Pd, Dr.Hamidin, M.Pd and Dr.Alfan Zuhairi, M.Pd as lectures who has
provided guidance and suggestions to the writer since the beginning of writing
until the completion of this learning material. Also thanks to Mrs.Febti who has
helped during PPG. Especially thanks to all my friends in English PPG Class 001
who have helped and gave supported during completing this learning module.

The writer has endeavored to as much as possible in completing this


learning material, but the writer is aware there are many drawbacks in terms of
both content and grammar, then the writer welcome any suggestions and
constructive criticism from readers for this learning material perfectly. The writer
hopes the contents of this learning material would be useful in enriching the

ASKING AND GIVING OPINION

A. INTRODUCTION
1. Short Description
This unit deals with Asking and Giving Opinion. It belongs to the
teaching and learning material for the first semester of Eleven Grade Students.
The success of learning a foreign language for Senior High School Students is
assumed in term of the ability to communicate by using English. Therefore
students should be able to have a good ability in speaking as one of achievement
in learning English. Students are supposed to use oral communication and it is
done in speaking class. So it becomes crucial for the students to improve learning
activity in speaking class by comprehending material “Asking and Giving
Opinion”.

2. Relevance
Have you ever read an expression of Asking and Giving Opinion? Can
you communicate efficiently by practicing Asking and Giving Opinion? If you
have never created and practiced a dialogue about Asking and Giving Opinion, so
you will deepen your comprehension in Asking and Giving Opinion. So, let’s start

3. Learning Guide
This module will explore about comprehension and ability of expression
asking and giving opinion. In order to get better achievement, you should study

 Point of view refers to who is telling a story. A story can be told in three
different ways: first person, second person, and third person. Writers use point
ofview to express the personal emotions of either themselves or their
characters.

Opinion can be expressed in the ways given below.

1. Personal Point of View


In personal point of view, the story is told from the speaker's perspective. This
allows the speakers to give readers their first-hand experience, including what
they saw, felt, thought, heard, said, and did.

These expressions are used to show personal point of view.

B. Tujuan Pembelajaran

model Problem Based Learning dengan langkah-langkah 4Cs peserta didik
diharapkan dapat berfikir kritis, teliti dan kreatif dalam mengidentifikasi situasi
yang memunculkan pernyataan pendapat dan pikiran, kemudian peserta didik
diharapkan dapat menggunakan, menyusun, melengkapi teks, menulis daftar
pendapat dan menciptakan teks menyatakan dan menanyakan pendapat dan
pikiran sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannnya

Asking opinion is a sentence which asking opinion or argument to other people.
There are expressions of asking opinion in two situations:
Formal Situation
 Would you give me your opinion on ………?

Informal Situation

 How do you like.............................................?
Giving Opinion is a sentence that gives a reason to someone or other. There are
expressions of giving opinion in two situations:
Formal Situation

Informal Situation
 I think I like it
 In my cases
 What I’m more concerned about

Expressing of Agreement with an Opinion

 Of course
