Before learning how to fill a form, answer the following questions: ( sebelum kita mempelajari
bagaimana mengisi sebuah formulir, jawablah pertanyaan berikut ini dengan singkat)!

MATERI POKOK
1. What is form?
Form is an official document containing questions and spaces for answer.The form need to
be fulfilled so that it can give specific information to a certain authority who need it. The
information later will be used as a proposal for any neccesity. ( Formulir adalah dokumen
resmi yang berisikan pertanyaan – pertanyaan dan bagian bagian untuk dijawab.
Formulir wajib diisi untuk melengkapi informasi yang dibutuhkan).
There are many kinds of form, for example ( Jenis jenis formulir ):
- From school or course registration ( formulir dari sekolah atau Registrasi kursur)
- Curriculum vitae (Daftar riwayat hidup)
- Application form for scholarship (Lamaran beasiswa)
- Application form for opening the bank account (Formulir mebuka rekening Bank)
- Application form for making identity card (Formulir Kartu identitas)
- Registration form, (formulir registrasi)
- Member card ( Kartu anggota)
- Postal card, ( kartu pos)
- Biography or autobiography (Biografi atau outobiografi)
- Bank account. ( rekening Bank)
When we read a book, we ussually found a biography of the author of the book. A biography
or autobiography is an example of a form. rom a biography, we know someone’s life more
&better. The biography can be in form of a form or a narrative. ( Saat kita membaca sebuah
buku, kita selalu menemukan sebuah biografi dari pengarang/penulis buku. Sebuah
biografi atau outobiografi adalah contoh dari sebuah formulir).
Generally, the biography is used for job application, and for that, we need to consider several
things as follows: ( pada umumnya biografi digunakan melamar sebuah pekerjaan, maka
dibutuhkan hala hal sbb)
• Name ( nama)
• Place of birth ( tempat lahir)
• Date of birth ( tanggal lahir)
• Age ( umur)
• Sex ( jenis kelamin)
• Religion (agama)
• Address ( alamat)
• Education degree ( Pendidikan)
Beside those important things, we can also add several information, such as: ( disamping itu
juga kita dapat menambahkan sejumlah informasi sebagai berikut:
Commonly, a form is formed this way ( umumnya, sebuah formulir dibentuk dengan cara
sbb):
a. Read the entire form first in flash to get what things are needed in the form ( baca
terlebih dahulu hal yang dibutuhkan dalam formulir sebelum mengisi)
b. Pay attention to the instruction served, if any, on how to fill the form (Perhatikan
peunjuk yang desediakan, dan bagaimana cara mengisinya)
c. Check the data which are going to be given, so we don’t put a wrong information ( Cek
data yang akan diberikan sehingga kita tidak menulis informasi yang salah)
d. In serving the data, we should give accutare, clear and complete information (Kita
menyediakan data yang akurat dan jelas)
e. Avoid scratching the form ( jangan mencoret formulir)
f. Check the form after filling before you return it.( Cek formulir setelah diisi sebelum
mengembalikan)
4.2 Menyusun teks interaksi transaksional 4.2.1 Menggunakan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan

memberi dan meminta informasi terkait transaksional lisan dan tulis yang melibatkan

A. The Simple Future Tense ( struktur yang digunakan untuk menyatakan hal yang
akan datang). Pola kalimat ditandai dengan munculnya kata kerja will/ shall/ am
going to
1. The sentences in the future tense use the following two forms.
Struktur kalimatnya sbb:
Form 1( bentuk 1)
S + will/shall +V1 (positive sentence)
S + will/ shall + not + V1 (negative sentence)
Will/ shall + S + V1 (interrogative sentence)
Won’t/ shan’t + S + V1 (interrogative sentence)
Form 2
S + is/am/are + going to + V1 (positive sentence)
S + is/am/are + not going to + V1 (negative sentence)
Is/am/are + S + going to + V1 (interrogative sentence)
Isn’t/am not / aren’t + S + going to + V1 (interrogative sentence)
Function:
a. The form ‘S + will/shall + V1 is used to make a spontaneous plan in the future. ( pola
seperti ini, saat kita memutuskan untuk melakukan sesuatu pada saat kita bicara /
perencanaan yang spontan)
Example:
Pingkan will move to Jambi next month
Pingkan’s moving to Jambi is a possibility, not yet a certainty.
The following are other examples.
- Nyoman wants to write a composition for his report task
He will find a suitable topic first
- I will not do it by myself if my friends can help me.
- Butet will be angry if you don’t bring her chocolate.
b. The form ‘S + is/am/are + going to’ is used to state an action which is done in the near
future. ( rencana yang sudah dibahas sebelumnya)
Example:
So I am going to buy stamps soon. The plan to buy stamps in the near future ( rencana
untuk membeli perangko sudah direncanakan sebelum dia mengatakannya)
The following are other examples.
- Andi is stopping in front of the shop. He is going to buy a pen.
- Doni and ida are in the classroom, but they are not going to discuss the problem soon.
- You look so busy. Are you going to go home?
Yes, I am.
No, I am not/ won’t.
- Isn’t he going to return the book?
Yes, he is.
- No, he is not/ isn’t
Using question word (QW)
We can also use question words combined with future tense.
QW + will/shall + S + V1/be
Or
QW+ is/am/are + S + going to + V1/be
Examples:
Where will you go tomorrow?
I will go to Kendari tomorrow
Who is going to pick this thing?
I am going to do it.
Task 1
Read the conversation bellow! Identify the statements which use future tenses. ( Baca

Fiona : What’s the problem?
Ferdi : Well, I’m not sure. It’s not running well, and it won’t start easly.
Fiona : I will chect the engine for you. And I will find out what the proble is.
Ferdi : Do you think you will have done it before 5 p,; I will have to pick up someone
at the train station this afternoon. Otherwise she will be waiting too long there.
Fiona : I will try. I hope I will have finiished it by then.

B. The Future Continuous Tense
We use ‘will be + verb-ing’ to talk about activities that will be in progress at a certain
time in the future.
To make clear a certain time in the future, we often use time signals such as:
• By this time tomorrow
• At this time tomorrow
• At the same time next month
• At.. o’clock tonight/ tomorrow
• All day tomorrow
• In a view minutes
• This time next year
E.g.
- At 9 a.m. on Saturday, I’ll be sitting in Dr Hollands seminar.
- I’ll be working all evening so I won’t be able to see you.
- By this time tomorrow we will be flying in a hot air balloon.
C. The Future Perfect Tense
We use ‘will have + past participle (verb 3)’ to talk about actions that will be completed before a
certain time in the future.
E.g.
- By the end of the year your new servant will have broken all your cups.
- When we reach the next harbor we will have sailed halfway around the world.
Future Continuous Tense is used to state or ask an event/ action which is taking
place in the future.
Example:
She will have class from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
She will still be studying in school at 11 a.m.
Other examples:
- Fandi plans to swim for an hour at 4 p.m. this evening. He will be
swimming at 4.30 p.m. this afternoon.
- Asti will go abroad at 6 p.m. this evening. Therefore, she will not be
feeding her cat at 7 a.m. this evening.
- What will you be doing at 7 a.m. tomorrow?
- Will they be playing tennis at 4 p.m. next Monday?
Yes, they will
No, they will not.
Task 3
A. Complete the sentences. Use continous form ( will + be + verb-ing ) of the given verbs.
