ABSTRAK

Kemoterapi merupakan pemberian obat-obatan antineoplastik yang dapat

menimbulkan regresi tumor dan menghalangi metastasis. Kemoterapi mempunyai
beberapa efek baik secara fisik atau psikis. Salah satu efek psikis akibat
kemoterapi yang paling sering terjadi adalah kecemasan. Salah satu penyebab
kecemasan adalah pengetahuan. Pasien dengan kecemasan yang berlebihan akibat
kemoterapi memerlukan bantuan dari perawat berupa informasi yang adekuat.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan
pasien kanker tentang kemoterapi dengan kecemasan dalam menjalani tindakan
kemoterapi di ruang One Day Care SHBC. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif
korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik
total sampling dengan accidental sampling yang berjumlah 33 responden.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data yang
digunakan adalah uji Gamma dan Sommers’d . Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu
adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan pasien kanker
tentang kemoterapi dengan kecemasan dalam menjalani tindakan kemoterapi di
ruang One Day Care Santosa Hospital Bandung Central dengan nilai p (0,000)
lebih kecil dari α (0,05) dengan nilai koefisiensi korelasi sebesar rxy = 0,709. Jadi
dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang kuat antara tingkat pengetahuan
dengan tingkat kecemasan pasien kemoterapi di ruang One Day Care Santosa
Hospital Bandung Central.

 ABSTRACT

Chemotherapy is the administration of anti-neoplastic drugs that can cause tumor

regression and inhibit metastasis. Chemotherapy has several effects both
physically and psychologically. One of the psychological effects of chemotherapy
is the most common anxiety. One cause of the anxiety is knowledge. Patients with
excessive anxiety owing to chemotherapy require the assistance of a nurse in the
form of adequate information. The purpose of this research is to determine the
relationship between the level of cancer patient’s knowledge about chemotherapy
and anxiety in carrying out chemotherapy in One Day Care Ward SHBC. The
method of this research was a descriptive study using the cross sectional
correlation. The sampling used was a purposive sampling technique which
amounted to 49 respondents. The data were collected using a questionnaire. Data
analysis used is Gamma and Sommers'd test. The results of this study are that
there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge of cancer
patients about chemotherapy and anxiety in undergoing chemotherapy in the One
Day Care Santosa Hospital Bandung Central room with a p value (0.000) smaller
than (0.05) with a correlation coefficient value of rxy = 0.709. So it can be
concluded that there is a strong relationship between the level of knowledge and
the anxiety level of chemotherapy patients in the One Day Care Santosa Hospital
Bandung Central.
