Pada akhir Fase F, peserta didik menulis berbagai jenis teks fiksi dan faktual
secara mandiri, menunjukkan kesadaran peserta didik terhadap tujuan
dan target pembaca. Mereka membuat perencanaan, menulis, mengulas
dan menulis ulang berbagai jenis tipe teks dengan menunjukkan strategi
koreksi diri, termasuk tanda baca, huruf besar, dan tata bahasa. Mereka
menyampaikan ide kompleks dan menggunakan berbagai kosakata dan
tata bahasa yang beragam dalam tulisannya. Mereka menuliskan kalimat
utama dalam paragraf- paragraf mereka dan menggunakan penunjuk
waktu untuk urutan, juga konjungsi, kata penghubung dan kata ganti
orang ketiga untuk menghubungkan atau membedakan ide antar dan di
dalam paragraf. Mereka menyajikan informasi menggunakan berbagai
mode presentasi untuk menyesuaikan dengan pemirsa dan untuk
mencapai tujuan yang berbeda-beda, dalam bentuk cetak dan digital.

 Homeschooling

Homeschooling is an alternative way to educate our kids

besides sending them to public school. Homeschooling is
becoming more popular every day. There are about two
million children currently learning at home. However, it has
some advantages and disadvantages.

Parents choose to homeschool to educate their kids

because they believe that homeschooling can be a
personalized schedule. Homeschooling allows parents and
children to work out a schedule that will best work for the
child. Another advantage is flexibility in time and
curriculum. By homeschooling, parents can set the
curriculum freely.

On the other hand, homeschooling can spoil parents' time.

Homeschooling needs a lot of time in preparation and
delivery. Parents have to research topics, prepare the
lessons, set up the projects, and field the trips.

So, when thinking about putting children through home

school, I believe we should make sure that we understand
all of the criteria involved in home education.
 DISTANCE LEARNING

A few years ago, distance learning was seen as an inferior way but nowadays
even famous and established traditional colleges and universities are
providing distance learning courses and it is generally considered a way to
improve one’s life.

However, people still argue whether distance learning give more advantages
or disadvantages. Some of them who see the benefit of distance learning will
say that distance learning needs no commuting. Of course, it saves money
and time that students would take. Furthermore, distance learning can be
done at any student’s convenience. Most of the classes of distance learning
are asynchronous. It means that students do not have to attend a lecture at
a fixed particular time and place. Students can review the assignments and
do their homework during off-hours or from home. Additionally, distance
learning gives more accessibility. No one can deny it. People with limited
mobility may encounter problems when they take traditional classes. With
the online class system, the problem is absent.

Despite the many advantages, other people will see that distance learning is
costly and needs complex technology. To attend online learning, students
must have a computer with possible access to the internet. Admitted or not,
such technology devices are not always available for common students.
Another disadvantage of distance learning is that it does not provide
immediate feedback. Unlikely in a traditional classroom, students have to
wait for feedback and comment until the instructor has reviewed the works
and sent a response to them. Most of the time students will study alone.
Distance learners may feel isolated or miss that social and physical
interaction that comes with attending a traditional classroom.

Regarding the individual’s learning style, some students are able to learn
when there is a live interaction between them and the availability of an
accompanying teacher while others don’t really need it. So before deciding a
choice of attending distance learning or not, each student needs to do a fair
analysis regarding the kind of person he/she is.
 Advantages and Disadvantages of Falling in Love

Have you ever fallen in love? How does it feel? Does it give you more
strength or weakness? Many people will say that it gives them more
advantages while others may say that its disadvantages are pre
dominant for their loves’ live. So, what are the advantages and the
disadvantages of falling in love? The following discussion is trying to
give you a better vision of the advantages and the disadvantages
of falling in love.

The first advantage of falling in love is that you have someone by

your side, someone to share life's experiences, and someone who
will always support you. Besides, love makes life more exciting,
colorful, and enjoyable.

You will also be healthier physically and mentally when you have
someone who always cares about you. Another advantage is that
you can also experience the greatest mysteries of life when you fall
in love. Lastly, having someone who loves you can motivate you to
be a better person because you will always want to make him/her
proud of you and you'll have someone around you who can help
you.

On the other hand, falling in love also has some disadvantages. The
first disadvantage is feeling confined or trapped. It happens when
the percentages of love are not balanced from both people. Also,
sometimes, expectations result in disappointment. The
disadvantage is that this condition often makes you down and loss
your spirit to continue your life. In this case, falling in love can also
add drama to your life.

Love will always have good and bad effects. It is only maturity which
can manage these two effects wisely. So, you may fall in love every
time but don’t have a relationship unless you have been mature
enough to manage your feeling not to be too dramatic when you
fall in love with someone.
Apa sih maksudnya Contrastive Conjunction? Apa saja
contohnya? Bagaimana penggunaannya dalam kalimat
Bahasa Inggris? Wah, banyak ya pertanyaannya. :-)

Untuk menyatakan hubungan dari sesuatu yang berlawanan, kita dapat

menggunakan contrast conjunction. Contrast conjunction (atau yang lebih
dikenal dengan contrastive conjunction) adalah konjungsi yang digunakan
untuk mengekspresikan perbandingan atau perlawanan. Konjungsi ini
menghubungkan dua gagasan yang dianggap sebagai sesuatu yang
berbeda.

Contrast conjunction yang akan kita bahas kali ini yaitu even if, unless,
however, on the other hand, dan in contrast.

Though
Kata though adalah konjungsi yang sering digunakan dalam percakapan
informal. Though dapat diartikan meskipun atau walaupun.
Though + Clause 1 (Subject + Verb) + Clause 2 (Subject + Verb)
Clause 1 (Subject + Verb) + though + Clause 2 (Subject + Verb)
Contoh:
Though she is allowed to stay up late on the weekend, she decided to go to
bed early.
She decided to go to bed early, though she is allowed to stay up late on the
weekend.

Although / Even though

Although dan even though memiliki arti yang sama dengan though, yaitu
meskipun atau walaupun.
Keduanya bersifat lebih formal daripada though.
Although / Even though + Clause 1 (Subject + Verb) + Clause 2 (Subject + Verb)
Clause 1 (Subject + Verb) + although / even though + Clause 2 (Subject + Verb)
Contoh:
Although we do not have much, we still want to donate something.
We still want to donate something, even though we do not have much.
Even If
Even if berfungsi sebagai konjungsi subordinatif yang menghubungkan
dependent clause dengan independent clause (main clause). Kata ini
biasanya digunakan ketika untuk mengungkapkan sesuatu yang jarang
dilakukan atau untuk mengungkapkan suatu situasi yang tidak akan berubah
apapun yang terjadi.

Rumus:
Even if + clause, main clause
Main clause + even if + clause

Contoh:
I will go to Adian’s house even if the weather is rainy (jika cuacanya hujan,
saya akan tetap pergi).
Even if Aria studied hard, Aria won’t be able to surpass Arin (jika Aria belajar
dengan giat, dia tetap saja tidak bisa melampaui Arin).

However
However digunakan untuk mengenalkan pernyataan yang berlawanan
dengan sesuatu yang sudah diucapkan sebelumnya. Kata ini bisa berarti ‘tapi’
dan biasa digunakan untuk membuat kalimat majemuk dengan hubungan
berlawanan.

Rumus:
Sentence 1. However, sentence 2.

Contoh:
My sister want to buy some foods. However, she is too lazy to go outside
(Adikku ingin membeli beberapa makanan, tapi dia terlalu malas untuk
keluar rumah).
I want to know more about this character. However, there was only a little
information about him (Aku ingin tahu lebih tentang tokoh ini. Tapi hanya
ada sedikit informasi tentangnya).
Unless
Unless berarti ‘jika tidak’ atau ‘kecuali jika’. Kata ini dapat digunakan dengan
present, past, maupun past perfect tense. Kita menggunakan unless dengan
present tense ketika membicarakan masa depan (future).

Rumus:
Unless clause, main clause
Main clause + unless + clause

Contoh:
You will fail on this final examination unless you study hard (kamu akan
gagal dalam ujian akhir ini kecuali jika kamu belajar dengan giat).
Unless my parents gives me permission, I cannot meet you tonight (Kecuali
jika orang tuaku memberi izin, aku tidak bisa bertemu denganmu malam
ini).

On The Other Hand

Digunakan untuk membandingkan dua fakta yang berbeda atau dua cara
berpikir yang beda terkait sebuah situasi. Jika diterjemahkan, on the other
hand berarti ‘di sisi lain’.

Rumus:
Sentence 1, On the other hand, sentence 2.
On the one hand, sentence 1. On the other hand, sentence 2.

Contoh:
On the one hand, I love being a part-timer. On the other hand, I want to
have a salary like full-time worker (Di satu sisi aku suka menjadi pekerja
paruh waktu. Namun di sisi lain, aku ingin memiliki gaji seperti pekerja
penuh waktu).
‘Searching’ is an uncertain thing. On the other hand, ‘obtaining’ is a certain
thing (‘Mencari’ adalah sesuatu yang tidak pasti. Di sisi lain, ‘mendapatkan’
adalah sesuatu yang pasti).
In Contrast
Jika suatu hal kontras dengan hal lainnya, itu merupakan perbedaan yang
signifikan. Kita menggunakan in contrast untuk menghubungkan dua klausa. In
contrast bisa diartikan sebagai ‘sebaliknya’ atau ‘berkebalikan’.

Rumus:
Sentence 1. In contrast, sentence 2
Clause, In contrast + with + noun phrase
In contrast + to + noun, sentence

Contoh:
In contrast to her brother, she has a bad attitude (Berkebalikan dengan
kakaknya, dia memiliki perilaku yang buruk).
I can hardly remember you. In contrast, my sister can easily remeber you
(Aku hampir tidak bisa mengingatmu. Sebaliknya, adikku dapat dengan
mudah mengingatmu).

Nevertheless
Nevertheless memiliki arti walaupun begitu atau bagaimana pun juga. Kata ini
digunakan untuk menghubungkan dua kalimat yang berbeda.

Rumus:
Sentence 1 (Subject + Verb). Nevertheless + Sentence 2 (Subject + Verb).

Contoh:
The Government has established a policy related to public health insurance
since 2019. Nevertheless, the rate of people who have not applied to public
health insurance is still concerning.
