CELCIUS SCALE
Mercury thermometers were first made by Daniel G. Fahrenheit. This
heat sensor equipment uses Mercury and glass pipes with Celsius and
Fahrenheit scales to measure temperature. In 1742 Anders Celsius published a
book titled "The Discovery of the Celsius Temperature Scale" which shared its
contents explaining the thermometer calibration method as below :
Move the thermometer cylinder in the melting water and mark the
thermometer points when all the water is completely liquid. This point is
freezing.
In the same way, mark the thermometer points when all this air boils when it
is heated. Divide the length of the two points. Until now three calibration
points are still used to find the average Celsius scale on the Mercury
Thermometer. These points cannot be used for accurate calibration methods
because the boiling and freezing points are different.
