Learning Steps (Meeting 1)

I. Opening (20 minutes)

1. Teacher greets students to starts the lesson.


2. Class leader leads a prayer to start the lesson.
3. One of the students leads the singing of national anthem Indonesia Raya.
4. Teacher check students attendance list.
5. Teacher rechecks students assignments.
6. Teacher review students understanding about previous material.
7. Teacher inform students about today’s material.

II. Core Activity ( 55 Minutes)

Focus on writing skill

Syntax 1 :

 Provide an understanding of the concept of writing correspondence


according to the correct grammar
 The teacher explains the use of the correct way of writing
correspondence.

Syntax 2 :

 Students are asked to read the text of the material that has been
given about the material from the job application letter, and students
learn to be able to find the main idea, detailed information and
certain information from the job application letter which is read
through several directive questions.
III. Closing

1. Students with teacher guidance make learning conclusions.


2. The teacher reflects on the activities that have been carried out.
3. The teacher plans follow-up activities for the next meeting.
4. Closing greetings and prayers together.

Meeting 1 : (focus on Writing skill)
The teacher asks students to find detailed information from the application
letter that has been provided, and the teacher ask the student to try make a
application letter individually.

A. SOCIAL FUNCTION
It acts as a cover letter for your resume and should provide enough personal information to convice
the reader to grant you an interview. The qualifications you provide a potencial amployer should be
included on your resume

B. TEXT STRUCTURE and LANGUAGE FEATURES


The structure consists of a targeted greeting, an introductory paragraph, one or two
paragraph. The greeting should adress a specific person whenever possible.
The introductory paragraph expresses your interest in a specific position and why.
The next paragraph or two summarizes how your skills, experience and education match job
requirements.
The closing paragraph references an enclosed application or resume some form of follow up
and thanks the employer for their time.
