3. Tujuan Pembelajaran
Setelah melalui kegiatan pembelajaran dengan model problem-based learning
berbasis HOTS dan TPACK, peserta didik mampu mengidentifikasi struktur teks,
menguraikan unsur kebahasaan dan menyimpulkan fungsi sosial teks surat
lamaran kerja. Peserta didik juga dapat menunjukan teks lamaran kerja,
membangun teks lamaran kerja dan menyusun monolog teks khusus lamaran kerja
menggunakan literasi baca tulis dan digital, bekerjasama, disiplin dan tanggung
jawab.

1. Definition of Application Letter


A job application letter, also known as a cover letter, is a document sent with
your resume to provide additional information about your skills and experience
to an employer. The letter of application is intended to provide detailed
information on why you are a qualified candidate for the job.

2. The Social Function of Application Letter


The application letter should let the employer know what position you are
applying for, what makes you a strong candidate, why they should select you for
an interview, and how you will follow up.

3. The Generic Structure of Application Letter


➢ Applicant’s Address: It is placed on top left, insert your full name
and address
➢ Date: It is the date you write the application letter.
➢ Employer’s Address: It is placed on second top left, insert the company’s
address.
➢ Salutation: Greetings to the receiver/company. It is to address a person
whose name you do not know. You can write Dear Sir or Dear Madam
➢ Subject: Title of the letter (Applicants for the teacher position). It’s
optional.
➢ Introduction Paragraph: Tell the job or position you want to apply for. You
can also mention from where you get the information.
➢ Body Paragraph: Tell about your past experience (if you have already had
the job. Give a strong/convincing statement that you are qualified and the
right one to get the job.
➢ Closing Paragraph: Write the closing paragraph to ask possibility to have an
interview. You can put your contact number or email address to make the
company easier to follow up. Do not forget to thank to them.
➢ Complimentary Close and Signature: The sender’s signature and full
name.
➢ Enclosure: Enclose the other documents, CV, certificate, etc.

7. Langkah-langkah Pembelajaran
Pendahuluan (10 menit)
a. Peserta didik berkomunikasi dengan Guru melalui aplikasi grup
WhatsApp, mengucapkan salam pembuka, membagikan link Zoom,
mengarahkan peserta didik untuk membentuk 3 kelompok dan segera
bergabung pada kegiatan pembelajaran.

didik pada masalah singkat tentang sebuah masalah kontekstual dari

HOTs/LOTs memahami masalahnya dan menyelesaikan
permasalahan tersebut dalam bentuk pertanyaan
pada LKPD yang telah diberikan oleh guru.

untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang terdapat
dalam video tersebut dan pada LKPD terkait
fungsi sosial dan struktur teks pada beberapa teks
surat lamaran kerja.
