• Legundi bekerja menghambat pengeluaran histamin dari sel mast.
Legundi juga menunjukan adanya aktifitas bronkospasmolitik.
• Komponen pada Legundi, yaitu Viteosin-A dan Vitexicarpin,
memiliki efek sebagai trakeospasmolitik, dengan menghambat
pelepasan histamin dari sel mast, diperkirakan akibat efek
stabilisasi pada membran sel mast.
• Legundi juga menunjukan benefit pada hiperaktifitas jalan nafas
seperti asma, dengan menghambat pelepasan histamin dan
produk metabolisme asam arachidonic, yang dapat menyebabkan
bronkospasme.

• Zingiber officinale / jahe memiliki efek antitusif,
sementara itu kompenen 9-shogaol memiliki efek
sebagai ekspektoran dan antitusif.
• Gingerol dan shogaol juga memiliki efek melegakan
gejala flu dengan mengurangi rasa nyeri, demam
dan menekan batuk, dan ada sedikit efek sedatif
yang cenderung membuat pasien dapat lebih
beristirahat.
• Shogaol juga memiliki efek sebagai anti alergi,

• ANOVA Single Factor analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang

signifikan antara semua grup perlakuan dengan PBS + mukus (tidak diterapi)
(p<0.05)

• OBA conc. 01 menunjukan hasil yang signifikan secara statistik dibandingkan dengan
terapi NAC, akan tetapi mulai dari OBA conc. 02, yang merupakan dosis rekomendasi
untuk OBA, tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara hasil terapi NAC dan OBA.

 Phenol Red Secretion in Mice Trachea Methods

Balb/C mice was administered with herbal combination.

Thirty minutes after administration of the sample , 2.5%
phenol red solution (0.2 ml) was intraperitoneally
injected.

Then, 30 minutes after the application of phenol red,

the mice were sacrificed. Trachea was dissected and
immediately placed into 1 ml of normal saline.

After the trachea was washed, 0.1 ml of 1 M NaOH

was added to the saline and the optical density was
measured at 546 nm using a microplate reader

 Conclusions
• Phenol red secretion in mice trachea methods can be used to examine the
expectrant effect of ingredients

• The administration of 5, 10 and 20 mg Imboost Force Cough (IFC) showed an

expectorant effect.

• The recommended dose of IFC 10 mg, which is equal to 3 caplets per day show a
statistically significant expectorant effect in compare with negative control, and no
statistical different with GG 4 mg and 8 mg.

• The administration of IFC by dose 50 mg more potent than the positive control
GG 24 mg
