1. Pengertian Kebudayaan dan Nilai
Kebudayaan
◎ Kebudayaan memiliki akar kata budaya,
berasal dari bahasa sansekerta yaitu
buddhayah dari kata buddhi yang berarti akal
atau budi
◎ Budaya mencakup kegiatan masyarakat pada
suatu daerah yang menggambarkan ciri khas
dan karakteristik daerah tersebut

Kebudayaan adalah seluruh sistem gagasan,

Berdasarkan pendapat para ahli, dapat
disimpulkan bahwa kebudayaan adalah
himpunan keseluruha dari semua cara manusia
berpikir, berperasaan, dan berbuat, serta segala
sesuatu yang dimiliki manusia sebagai anggota
masyarakat, yang dapat dipelajari dan dialihkan
dari satu generasi ke generasi berikutnya

Kebudayaan yang berasal dari suku-
suku bangsa di Indonesia disebut
kebudayaan daerah. Setiap kebudayaan
daerah memiliki ciri tersendiri yang
berbeda antara satu dan yang lainnya

Ciri kebudayaan daerah adalah sebagai berikut:
◎ Bersifat kedaerahan
◎ Adanya bahasa, seni, rumah, pakaian, atau senjata
yang khas
◎ Dianut oleh penduduk daerah setempat
◎ Adanya peninggalan sejarah
◎ Adanya unsur kepercayaan (di luar agama)
◎ Diturunkan dari generasi ke generasi

Kebudayaan daerah merupakan akar dari kebudayaan
nasional, sedangkan budaya nasional merupakan
puncak dari budaya daerah. Beberapa ciri kebudayaan
nasional adalah sebagai berikut:
◎ Mencerminkan nilai luhur dan kepribadian bangsa
◎ Unsur kebudayaan daerah yang diakui secara
nasional
◎ Adanya unsur-unsur pemersatu bangsa
◎ Menjadi kebanggan bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia
◎ Mencerminkan kehidupan bangsa

merupakan kebutuhan masyarakat
1. Benda-benda fisik, berfungsu memenuhi kebutuhan
fisik
2. Sistem sosial, berfungsi memenuhi kebutuhan
untukn menata kehidupan bersama
3. Sistem budaya, berdungsi memenuhi kebutuhan
emosional dan spiritual (makna hidup)
4. Nilai budaya, berfungsi memenuhi kebutuhan
identitas diri atau kelompok masyarakat

Wujud kebudayaan di Indonesia yang menjadi bagian
kebudayaan nasional dan menjadi karakteristik bangsa
Indonesia antara lain sebagai berikut:

◎ Kriya ragam hias ◎ Adat istiadat

Menurut Koentjaraningrat, tiga wujud kebudayaan
meliputi:
1. Kebudayaan sebagai kompleks ide atau gagasan
yang bersifat abstrak
2. Kebudayaan sebagai kompleks tingkah laku atau
perbuatan manusia.
3. Kebudayaan sebagai kompleks hasil perbuatan
manusia, yang pada umumnya berwujud benda-
benda layaknya hasil kesenian maupun artefak
peninggalan.
